<p>Actress-turned-entrepreneur Wilma Doesnt shared her experience being featured in the Manila episode of the latest season of the hit Netflix food and travel series <em>Somebody Feed Phil.</em></p><p>In an interview with Julius Babao for his latest YouTube vlog, Wilma, who owns the restaurant Chicks ni Otit with branches in Tagaytay and Cavite, talked about how her restaurant was chosen for the show.</p><p>&quot;Ang market ko masa, everybody can eat. It so happened &#x27;yung producer dito sa Pilipinas may driver... &#x27;Yung driver, rider, nagmo-motor-motor, tropa-tropa, kumakain dito,&quot; she relayed.  </p><p>The driver then referred her restaurant to the producer of the series. &quot;&#x27;Sa Tagaytay may alam ako, pang-masa &#x27;to, may-ari nito si Wilma Doesnt,&#x27; binida nung driver sa producer. Si producer, mga Pinoy, of course they do their research... and then kumain dito, [they checked] &#x27;yung consistency, lahat, everything, pumunta dito sinabi na nga na may vlogger [na pupunta].&quot;</p><div><iframe width="1265" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/l7X-R3g82SU" title="Somebody Feed Phil: Season 8 | Sneak Peek | Netflix" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Wilma admitted that she wasn&#x27;t initially familiar with Phil Rosenthal, the show&#x27;s host, but her husband Gerick Parin, who works as a cook, recognized him.</p><p>During Phil’s visit to her restaurant, Wilma served some of their best-selling dishes, including crispy pata and inasal.</p><p>&quot;Si Phil para siyang tiyuhin mo na alam mong cool, na kalmadong tiyuhin. Alam mong playful din. Ano siya, pleasant,&quot; she recalled meeting the host. &quot;Happy siya, tuwang-tuwa siya. Nakipag-usap siya sa mga anak ko... parang meron ka talagang tiyuhin na dinalaw ka.&quot;</p><p>Wilma shared how grateful she and her husband were for their restaurant to be featured on such a widely watched platform, noting the impact it had on their business.</p><p>&quot;This is a dream come true. Kasi ito &#x27;yung platform na malaki &#x27;yung market na mata-tap namin. Hindi lang &#x27;yung local market, hindi lang &#x27;yung social media ko, ito marami, malaki &#x27;yung tao. Baka &#x27;yung nasa ibang bansa na mga Pilipino na hindi pa nila kilala [&#x27;yung restaurant ko], through this channel, makilala,&quot; she remarked. </p><div><strong> </strong></div>
