<p>With the much-awaited Philippine adaptation of <em>It’s Okay to Not Be Okay</em> just around the corner, fans are excited to see how some of its iconic scenes — from drama-heavy moments to candid kilig — will be recreated.</p><p>During the intimate media roundtable for the television series, Joshua Garcia, who plays Patrick, the Filipino version of Kim Soo-Hyun’s Moon Gang-tae, revealed how he prepared for that iconic abs scene in the show.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1752713698124How Joshua Garcia pulled off the iconic abs scene in &#x27;Its Okay to Not to Be Okay.png" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>“Ah, maraming push ups. Kasi wala talaga akong abs non eh. Isa lang, absent,” Joshua playfully shared.</p><p>He added that while the steamy scene may have drawn in some of the K-drama’s followers, there was actually something more to it.</p><p>“Pero parang, nag-work naman, but I think kasi hindi naman yun (yung point). Para sa iba, of course abs yun, pero yung scene naman, iba naman yun,” he said.</p><p>Series director Mae Cruz-Alviar agreed and pointed out that the scene was more than just fan service.</p><p>“Iba naman yung yung point ng scene, it&#x27;s not just the abs so parang kumbaga, it&#x27;s not all about the abs,” she mentioned.</p><p>Direk Mae said that the original actor, Kim Soo-Hyun’s build definitely didn’t happen overnight — it took years of effort.</p><p>“Parang ang feeling ko kasi yung abs ni KSG (Kim Soo-hyun) ay taon. May isang namang pumasok. So tumagilid na lang (Sabi ko) ‘Saan yung camera, Direk?’ Tapos yon tinigasan ko na lang yung sa set. Ayun, naitawid naman. Ayon yung aabangan,” Joshua teased.</p>
