<p>When it comes to creating hilarious skits and outrageous characters on social media, Steven Bansil is certainly no newcomer. Back then, I was working in the corporate world and then my officemates were the ones who actually watched YouTube vloggers. They said ‘Kaya mo rin ‘to eh,’ and then I realized na baka nga kaya ko. After a long contemplation, I resigned and decided to pursue vlogging. That time hindi pa uso yung term na &#x27;content creator&#x27;, vlogger pa talaga.</p><div><br/></div><p>&quot;It was very crucial decision kasi from being a writer for so many years, I&#x27;m transitioning to a job that I know nothing about, with no promise, no guarantee that I&#x27;d be able to make a living out of it. Actually, mas gusto ko yun kasi ayoko yung parang kung ano yung nakikita nila online eh yun din. So, parang hindi na siya magiging ganun ka-challenging for me.</p><div><br/></div><p>&quot;For this role kasi, parang conyo na assistant na tamad ako dito so same sa personality ko as a person talaga (laughs).  Dalawa yung roles supposedly na in-offer nila sa akin. I picked the smaller role kasi takot ako mag-memorize. Ayoko mag-memorize talaga kinakabahan ako! (laughs). Siyempre, hello kasama ko si Ms. Rhian Ramos and si sir JC Santos, sobrang batikan na itong mga ito na artista. So natatakot akong magkamali, ganun. So sabi ko, for the experience lang talaga siya. I landed one lead role in a bank commercial but it was draining process for me so I stopped. Like most of us, I was one of those who dreamed to become an actor but I was never really given the opportunity. Maybe I wasn’t made for it, or I lack the face value, or the talent.</p><div><br/></div><p>&quot;So I decided that through my content, I&#x27;d be able to still act, be my own actor, be my own director, and be my own producer. When people started seeing my viral content online, that&#x27;s when I started to get some invites for interviews and to audition for some movies. After so many attempts before, it really discouraged me to try,” he admitted. </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Ffbid%3D1315613406590663%26set%3Da.301094211375926%26type%3D3&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500" width="500" height="716" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Now that he is starting to get positive reviews for his small but memorable role in <em>Meg &amp; Ryan, </em>Steven said he was glad he gave mainstream another shot.</p><div><br/></div><p>“My manager said that I should give one one last try and so I landed the part of Pau in <em>Meg &amp; Ryan</em>. I even asked for a very little role because I was afraid I wouldn’t be good at it. Ayoko sa lahat yung magkakamali ako tapos makaka-hassle ako ng ibang tao kaya I choose the littlest part I can get and just experience acting professionally. But to be honest, I did enjoy the experience and hope that maybe I could do more acting in the future.
