Squid Game’s Heo Sung-Tae stars in action-comedy flick ‘The Informant’

Squid Game season 1’s Player 101 sheds his villainous persona to become a cop who is down on his luck. Heo Sung-Tae, who played gangster Jang Deok-su in the Netflix hit, is hitting the big screen as a police detective in The Informant.<div>Heo Sung-Tae plays Oh Nam-hyuk, a not-so-brilliant detective whose life goes off the rails after a failed police operation. The road to redemption hasn’t been easy and he’s desperate to bounce back. He places his hopes on an informant, Cho Tae-Bong (played by Cho Bok-Rae) inside a smuggling syndicate, betting for a big payout to get him out of career hell. Playing the much-reviled Jang Deok-Su, the series helped propel the actor into the global zeitgeist. The actor’s latest TV role was in the Park Bo-Gum-led series, Good Boy. The series focused on former athletes who take their skills into a new environment as police officers. Exclusively shown at Ayala Malls Cinemas under A-Reel Asia, the movie promises an hour-and-42-minute-long exciting ride full of action and laughs. Directed by Kim Seok, The Informant stars Heo Sung-tae, Cho Bok-rae, Seo Min-ju, and Cha Soon-bae.
