Meryl Streep revealed that Anne Hathaway advocated for healthier representation in The Devil Wears Prada 2, urging producers to avoid featuring “alarmingly thin” models in the film.In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Meryl recalled attending Milan Fashion Week with Anne during production, where she was struck by the appearance of many models.“[I was] struck by how not only beautiful and young—everyone seems young to me—but alarmingly thin the models were,” she recounted. &quot;I thought that all had been addressed years ago.&quot;Meryl noted that Anne quickly raised concerns with the production team.&quot;Annie clocked it too, and she made a beeline to the producers about it, securing promises that the models in the show that we were putting together for our film would not be so skeletal.
