Casting directors for 'Harry Potter' series reviewed over 40,000 auditions to find its stars

<p>The casting directors behind the upcoming <em>Harry Potter </em>series revealed that they reviewed more than 40,000 auditions in their .search for the show&#x27;s young stars.</p><p>As reported by Variety, the documentary <em>Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magi</em>c sheds light on the extensive casting process. Casting director Lucy Bevan shared that children across the United Kingdom were invited to submit auditions online, after which the team conducted in-person tryouts in search of the actors who would play Harry, Ron, and Hermione.</p><p>Lucy also described what they were looking for in the actor who would take on the role of Harry Potter.</p><p>“He’s skeptical of the adult world. He’s got a vulnerability and a melancholy and a solitary quality to him. It’s basically: find an incredible actor, age 10,&quot; she said. </p><p>Fellow casting director Emily Brockmann added: “He means so much to people in different ways.
