MANILA — Vandolph, Boy2 Quizon, together with the OG cast of the sitcom ‘Home Along Da Riles’ graced the first screening of their reunion movie at the MET Theater in Manila. Nova Villa, Dang Cruz, Gio Alvarez, Maybeline Dela Cruz, Cita Astals, Vitto Quizon, and Jenny Quizon were all there, including Claudine Barretto who thanked the City of Manila for hosting the screening of their reunion movie.Vandolph thanked Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno-Domagoso, “Nung binanggit ko sa inyo itong idea na ito, kayo po ang nagsabi na dapat sa Metropolitan Theater sa Manila gawin ang film screening ng ‘Home Along Da Riles’. Kasi ang tatay ko nga, lumaki ng Tondo.”The son of the Comedy King also looked back at home the sitcom became his training ground when it comes to his acting and loving the craft.“Sa Home Along po ako natuto ng tamang acting. I was 5 or 6 years old. Pinapanood ko lang po ang aking ama kung paano umarte, (at) si Tito Babalu. Parang napakaimportante po ng kanyang ginagawa para sa akin. Sa simpleng pagpapatawa, napapasaya niya ang taongbayan, ang mga manonood,&quot; said Vandolph.He also thanked ABS-CBN for allowing to use the franchise, the title, the themesong and other elements of the show to keep the nostalgic feel in place.“Hindi matutuloy ang pangarap na ito kungdi dahil sa ABS-CBN, kay Tita Cory (Vidanes), sa pagtulong sa amin at pagbibigay ng tiwala. At pagpayag ng franchise.”The movie took two and half years to complete. Vandolph said he found a new family with the cast.Claudine gave a short thank you message to all those who came to the screening. “Comeback ito ng Cosme family, Salamat sa suporta ngayon pa lang po. Sana po maiyak kayo, matuwa kayo.”“Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion” movie hits cinemas on June 17, just in time for the celebration of Father’s Day, as an homage and tribute to the core and center of the sitcom - Comedy King Dolphy.
