MANILA — Less than a month before their much awaited major concert “The Traveller Across Dimensions” at the Mall of Asia Arena, folk indie band Ben&amp;Ben sat down with ABS-CBN News to talk about their preparations and the concept of their concert.Miguel Benjamin said, drawing inspiration from their newest and third studio album, they came up with concept to combine live music with cutting-edge multimedia elements. “Bahagi kasi nung album na ito yung animation, yung huge part of it. So we found a way to make it part of the live show”Paolo Benjamin added, “Para kang nanonood ng concert at ng pelikula!”The band’s percussionist Andrew de Pano said that they will be giving away lighted wristbands or what they call ‘xylobands’ that will be synchronized to the band’s music while they’re playing. Award-winning rock band Coldplay had this before during their most recent world tour.Miguel also shared, “The thing that we are excited to do is to play all of the songs from the new album for the first time in the Philippines. And also we are excited to present an experience in the show - it’s a mixed of the live performance, and there’s a portion of the show that is focused on the animation and it’s all blended together to deliver one unique immersive audio-visual elements on the show.”The band tapped Puppeteer Animation Studios and collaborate with them for the third album.“We thought of a visual story for this album that eventually found its way to having its being brought to life in 3D animation,” says Miguel.  “We really we impressed with their work coz we feel like it’s a world class 3D animation that they’re doing. So we partnered up with them in conceptualizing and bringing the story of this album into life.”Asked if this Ben&amp;Ben concert will set the bar high when it comes to concert production and design in the local scene, Paolo said: “It’s not for us to tell or to decide. But definitely, as fans of concerts ourselves, and also watching concerts basically from the best of the best music acts in the world and how they do it, basically we want to make it our own with the elements that we have - with our music, with our ability to perform and ideas that we have, to offere something different.”Ben&amp;Ben’s “The Traveller Across Dimensions” concert promises to be the first-ever “animation-concert” hybrid experience, happening on December 14, 2024 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
