Jake Zyrus to release reimagined versions of 'Pyramid' and other earlier tracks in 'Roots' EP

<p>Jake Zyrus announced that he will be releasing a reimagined version of some of his favorite songs in his upcoming Extended Play (EP) <em>Roots.</em></p><p>&quot;6 tracks. Favorites. Nostalgia. Old shadows, new skin. November 2025. <em>ROOTS</em>,&quot; he wrote in a post on Instagram.</p><p>The six-track EP will revisit songs he previously released as Charice. These include &quot;Reset,&quot; &quot;Nobody&#x27;s Singing To Me,&quot; &quot;Wherever You Are (feat. Cheesa),&quot; &quot;Yakap,&quot; &quot;Lighthouse,&quot; and the global hit &quot;Pyramid.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Same songs, different heart. Roots. I kind of just one day, I’m prepared, I’m ready, just start recording it. I did everything. I did the mixing, I produced, and it was just a fun thing.&quot;</p><p>At that time, Jake also revealed plans to continue creating and sharing new music. &quot;I&#x27;m taking control and with the help of my team, obviously with both US and Philippines, I&#x27;m still going to do projects in the Philippines but I think now I&#x27;m more focused here [in the US] and I&#x27;m more focused on doing online content, releasing music, and definitely more songs. &#x27;4 Life&#x27; is just the beginning,&quot; he shared.</p><p>Beyond music, Jake appeared on the cover of GQ for Pride Month in 2022, being recognized as a voice for the LGBTQIA+ community. Sharing the feature on Instagram at that time, he wrote: &quot;Happy Pride Month, a little reminder that it&#x27;s okay to be myself. Thank you to those who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom of expression and acceptance,&quot; he said in the caption.</p><p>He also expressed gratitude to the magazine for allowing him to share his journey as a transgender man.</p>
