<p>Fil-Am artist and musical director Troy Laureta aims to introduce OPM to global stage. So it’s a very exciting time for me, my very first Grammy submission,&quot; Laureta said.</p><p>Like his previous albums &quot;Kaibigan,&quot; &quot;Giliw &quot;and &quot;Dalamhati,&quot; he showcases original Pilipino music and international Filipino artistry in &quot;Harana.&quot;</p><p> &quot;After I did the trilogy, I really wanted to create one last album to really compile how I feel about Filipino music. With &#x27;Harana,&#x27; it celebrates not just music from the Philippines, but also Filipino-American music,&quot; Laureta shared.</p><p>Born and raised in Hawaii, he aimed to connect Filipinos and Filipino-Americans through music in &quot;Harana.&quot;</p><p>&quot;There’s a disconnect sometimes with Filipino and Filipino-Americans. So with this album, I hope to create a stronger bridge… because there’s so much to offer each other,&quot; he said.</p><p>Despite his success as musical director, Laureta admits that it isn&#x27;t easy being one of the few if not only Filipino musical director in America.</p><p>&quot;A lot of times where I had imposter syndrome… a lot of questions of whether I was qualified to even do this.
