Here’s why Ben&Ben chose these five locations for their upcoming world tour

Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&amp;Ben is set to bring their music closer to the people through their upcoming The Traveller Across Dimensions world tour. Five places from both local and overseas were chosen to be part of another milestone in the band’s history.  Ben&amp;Ben will kick off their global tour in Cebu City on May 24, which will be followed by two more events — one in Bacolod on June 8 and another in Davao on June 22 — to complete the tour’s Philippine leg.  The nine-piece band is also bound to perform in Lincoln, California in the United States on July 12 and in Singapore on December 14.  In a press conference last week, Ben&amp;Ben admitted that the places they selected for their tour hold a special place in their hearts.  “We love playing in Cebu, Bacolod, Davao and of couse in the United States, (particularly) in California,” vocalist Miguel Benjamin Guico said. Among the five locations, Miguel also made an exemption, admitting that they “never played a show this big” in Singapore. The Ben&amp;Ben vocalist provided a simpler explanation on why they have chosen the five locations.  “I think the reason why we picked these places to begin the list ng cities [is because] we are doing something that is very different production-wise. It’s not as easy to transport, I feel, that’s why mas conservative kami na lima lang muna tapos baka naman kapag may gustong dumagdag diyan, then sobrang welcome niyo sa amin,” he explained.   Spectators can expect a more visual show and an improved version of Ben&amp;Ben’s major concert in December 2024.  Miguel revealed in the same press conference that they are focusing more on the visual element of the show.  “Sa palagay ko, ang isa rin naming gustong i-improve even more is ‘yung visual component ng show since as we mentioned, it’s one of the main features of this specific tour,” he said. “Marami rin kaming learnings about it lalo na we only ever done it once in December. So, magmula po sa show na ‘yun, marami na pong improvements.” “We’re very particular about the details, on what we want to improve more visually. We’re working hard to make that happen,” he added.   One of its members, Toni Muñoz, expressed her excitement at their upcoming global tour.  “Sobrang excited kami kasi ‘yung ginawa namin noong December, na-feel namin na binigay talaga namin ang lahat. Ilang months siya of recording and writing the songs, kumbaga parang recital ‘yung nangyari noon,” Toni expressed.  Emphasizing that the December concert had its own limitations, Toni said their goal for the tour is to reach more people.  “Sobrang excited kami na dalhin siya sa iba’t ibang lugar kasi kada lugar, mayroong collective identities ‘yung mga nanonood ng shows namin. So excited ako na ma-experience ulit namin ‘yung energy na ibabato ng listeners namin [kapag] pinarinig namin ‘yung work namin,” Toni added.
