<p>Filipino indie folk-pop band Ben&amp;Ben has reached another milestone as one of the recipients of the 2021 SUDI National Music Awards, joining a roster of esteemed Filipino musicians, singers, songwriters, music researchers and educators.</p><p> In a post on their official social media pages, the band expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition from the National Music Awards.</p><p> “Maaaa, awardee na kami ng Sudi National Music Awards 😭,” they wrote.</p><p> “Thank you sa National Commission for Culture Arts for recognizing our works nung 2021! (for the Cebu Popular Music Festival) and the MSU-IIT Integrated Performing Arts Guild.</p><p> For the 2022 roster, awardees included “Asia’s Songbird” Regine Velasquez, “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano, “Kings of P-pop” SB19, violinist Coke Bolipata, and Maria Alexandra Chua.</p><p> The 2023 recipients included Dr. Marie Jocelyn Marfil, the UST Singers, and actor-composer Vincent De Jesus.</p><p> Additionally, the National Music Competitions for Young Artists Foundation, Inc. The panel was chaired by National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab and included Ma.
