Filipino-Australian producer and songwriter Mark Feist is back in the Philippines to bring with him a wave of exciting musical projects and industry-shaping collaborations. He explained how he got into artist management after years of being into producing and songwriting.Mark is renowned for his work with global icons like Destiny’s Child, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion, John Legend, The Spice Girls, Outkast, Brian McKnight, Kelly Rowland, Regine Velasquez, and many more.“After a very, very amazing and blessed career as a producer-songwriter, I decided that I wanted to start a record label that really focused, hardcore, on career artists,” he shared.He used his late aunt as a benchmark of setting the standard when it comes to Filipinos who can compete against global talents. He shared how his recent collaboration with Jay R is the first step in making it to a reality.“Most of the Filipino artists that do well are US-born and raised, right? Tita Pilita was such an enigma, right? Her legacy, I think, it’s our job to help other Filipinos find the platform to have the success that, even just a little bit of the success that she had. I’d like to use the success that I’ve been fortunate enough to find and be part of the journey and use that to help other Filipino-grown artists and Jay R is the first step towards that,” he added.Mark admitted that artist development isn’t easy at this age but he is willing to go through that process if it means getting his ultimate goal.  Apart from finding new talents, Mark’s label teamed up with Symphonic Distribution, a leading music technology and services company for independent labels, managers, and artists.“Together, Symphonic and HITMAKERS Entertainment form a powerhouse partnership that’s poised to break barriers, set new standards, and create the next generation of post-streaming superstars,” he expressed.Meanwhile, things are looking bright for Mark and his label as they’re gearing up for another collaboration with Jay R and rising pop newcomer Shanice.
