Hilary Duff on returning to the concert stage after 18 years: ‘My fans gave me the warmest welcome’

Hilary Duff opened up about her experience staging a concert again after 18 years for the Small Rooms, Big Nerves tour which she headlined earlier this year.In an interview with Hits Radio Breakfast, Hilary revealed that she performed &quot;What Dreams Are Made Of&quot; for the first time in a live show during her new tour, with the first show held at the O2 Shepherd&#x27;s Bush Empire in London on January 19.&quot;That show in London was the first time I performed &#x27;What Dreams Are Made Of&#x27; since filming [The Lizzie McGuire] movie while I was on tour. I never did it live [before], so that was the first time,&quot; she relayed.Following the massive demand and positive reception of the intimate shows for the Small Rooms, Big Nerves tour, Hilary recently announced that she is expanding the tour into a world tour titled The Lucky Me Tour which will run from June this year to February 2027.Part of the expanded tour will be arena shows. When asked how she felt about staging concerts in bigger venues this time for the world tour, Hilary responded: &quot;I&#x27;m so, so excited and you know, it was great to start the tour small and intimate, and like, my true hardcore, diehard fans showed up for me and it was the warmest welcome and like a cozy place to start. But I&#x27;m super excited for the bigger shows.&quot;Hilary also weighed in on performing in intimate shows and in bigger venues. &quot;Those small shows, they are so fun and you feel the connection. I think there&#x27;s nothing like being in an arena, that energy all coming at you is like such a once in a lifetime feeling. But the connection and seeing people&#x27;s faces [in intimate shows], and you know, you can see the back of the room at Empire, so it was great,&quot; she said.In the same interview, Hilary also discussed how she would be managing being a performer and a parent once the world tour kicks off.&quot;It&#x27;s gonna be a hard for sure and I don&#x27;t think that I&#x27;ll have them with me the whole time.
