MANILA — Disco dance stars Miles Obra, Geleen Eugenio, Pia Moran, and Yvonne Salcedo are set to return to the dance floor for “Disco Forever (D4E),” a concert celebrating the music, dance, and culture that defined the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.The show serves as a tribute to the dancers and performers who helped shape the disco movement in the Philippines. It brings together pioneering television dance groups and artists who became synonymous with the era, remembered for its energetic performances, vibrant style, and lasting influence on Philippine pop culture.“Hindi pwede ma-miss nga tugtog before, pati mga groupings and combinations na na-miss natin. We will be going through all the decades and all the milestones that made dance in the Philippines great and what made disco fever really feverish,” event director Flo Reyes teased.Obra shared that this will be her first time returning to the stage for a show in nearly four decades, after moving to the United States.“I  stopped dancing for maybe thirty eight years. Puro work, work, work. Recently I started going back to the studios, working out, taking classes— and I started thinking kaya ko pa ulit,” She recalled. “All these years I had zero dancing. it was all work sa US. I miss it so much but everytime I hear music talagang my blood— inaaya ako sumayaw.“Moran and Salcedo meanwhile shared it will be their first time to dance in a concert format in a while.“For this show, I said yes. No second thoughts,” Salcedo said.“Abangan! I am more of someone who will dance on the spot. It is exciting,” Moran added.Other expected performers to bring nostalgia on Mar 21 at the Theater at Solaire in Paranaque City are Swing Duos, Vicor Crowd, Dyna Company, Viva All Male, Big Brothers, Manoeuvres, etc.There will also be a special participation from Ima Castro, Tess D Smith, and The Boyfriends.
