She&#x27;s called &#x27;Cherry Bomb&#x27; on the court for her explosive spikes and gravity-defying leaps. But off the court, volleyball MVP Cherry Ann &quot;Sisi&quot; Rondina is the complete opposite—unassuming, gentle, and refreshingly candid. We got to see that side of her in an episode of &quot;Kuan On One,&quot; the Bisaya talk show hosted by the ever-hilarious Melai Cantiveros.Speaking in her native dialect, Bisaya, Sisi opened up about her chilldhood and the struggles she went through before making it big as a volleyball star. She went for spike, saying there’s no need to drag anyone else into something that only concerns her, &quot;Mas maganda kung diretsuhin ko na para wala nang maririnig pa sa ibang mga tao. May ibang tao kasi na kapag may marinig sila, dagdag-bawas,&quot; she explained. But her first reaction would honestly be, &quot;Bakit ako?&quot;Sisi was challenged in the next round when asked what she’d do if her sibling felt jealous because their parents were giving her more attention. Well, she never experienced that in real life. If anything, she&#x27;s the one who feel envious of her three siblings since they get to stay with their parents in Cebu while she lives solo in Manila. But if it ever happened in real life, she’d still go for &#x27;spike&#x27; and talk to her sibling directly. She’d remind them that parents show love in different ways, and just because it looks different doesn’t mean it’s any less.&quot;Sasampalin ko siya ten times,&quot; she joked in the next round when asked how she&#x27;d react if she found out her sibling was pregnant but hadn’t told their parents yet. Kidding aside, as a naturally straightforward person, she’d still go for spike, meaning she’d handle it on her own. She’d probably get mad at first, but eventually sit down and have an honest conversation.And what if her older sister owed her money, couldn’t pay her back, and was also deep in debt with others? Without hesitation, she said she’d still help. &quot;Naniniwala ako sa nabasa ko noon na kahit kaaway mo na ang lahat, ang magiging kasangga mo ay mga kapatid mo.&quot; For her, family comes first. Besides, she believes, &quot;Kung ano man ang ibinigay mo, triple ang babalik sa&#x27;yo.&quot;Of course, she also picked &#x27;spike&#x27; when asked how she&#x27;d handle a major fight with her boyfriend. For Sisi, it’s always best to face the issue head-on without dragging anyone else into it. After all, a relationship is only between two people. At the end of the day, she firmly believes that good communication can fix anything. &quot;Kailangan na alam n&#x27;yo ang weaknesses and strengths n&#x27;yo as a couple. Siyempre, dapat alam n&#x27;yo na mas maganda kung pag-uusapan ang problema, maliit man &#x27;yan o malaki,&quot; she imparted. Speaking of relationships, Sisi revealed that her love language is acts of service, or doing things for her partner. But in return, she wants to receive quality time. And when asked if she’s the strict type of girlfriend, she jokingly rolled her eyes before admitting, &quot;Yes.&quot; But don’t worry, Sisi isn’t the type to spike when she’s mad. She just believes that a guy should be aware of what might trigger his girlfriend’s jealousy or anger—and, well, avoid it.The conversation took a deeper turn in the “Ultimate Yawyaw” segment, where Sisi shared how her journey strengthened her faith, particularly during her lowest point in life. &quot;No&#x27;ng na-depress ako, lagi lang ako nakaluhod sa simbahan. Lagi ko lang dinadasal na, &#x27;Lord, kunin mo na ang sakit kasi sobra na.&#x27; Sa kakadasal ko sa simbahan, napasabi ako na, &#x27;Lord, salamat.
