From beauty secrets to chicken jokes: Vice Ganda and Max Collins’ fun back-and-forth on “It’s Showtime”

<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1740794950117New Project (10).jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>If you’ve grown familiar with Vice Ganda’s brand of comedy from watching &quot;<a href="http://abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/itsshowtime" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></a>&quot; daily, then you know that one of his favorite people to banter with are gorgeous women (just like his mestiza co-host Anne Curtis, right?) as he never misses a chance to joke about his &#x27;beauty frustrations.&#x27; </p><p>Lately, he’s found a new ‘kabardagulan’ in Max Collins, one of the regular judges on the “Showtime Sexy Babe 2025” segment. And since Max isn’t just beautiful but also quick-witted, she&#x27;s able to keep up with Vice&#x27;s clapbacks. Vice wondered if beauty has something to do with sleeping hours, so Max casually revealed that she sleeps at 9 PM—because, well, she’s already a mom. This only ‘offended’ Vice tenfold, as he dramatically reacted, &quot;Nanay ka pa n&#x27;yan?! Nagbuntis ka?!&quot; before turning to the heavens in despair, &quot;Panginoon, anong nagawa kong mali sa&#x27;Yo?!&quot;  </p><p>As if that wasn’t enough, Bela Padilla stirred the pot even more by pointing out that the stage lighting was actually more flattering for the hosts than for the judges, yet Max’s beauty still stood out. This pushed Vice to jestingly issue a threat, &quot;Huwag kang daan ng eskinita kundi lalabasan kita ng matulis.&quot; But in the end, he found a way to comfort himself, sighing, &quot;Balang araw &#x27;pag tayo ay pumanaw na, lahat tayo ay pantay-pantay, mabubulok ka din.&quot; </p><p>And then, he eventually realized that no one is truly perfect. After all, not every good quality can be given to just one person. That&#x27;s what he ribbed Max about following her flopped punchline in another episode. Max, ever the good sport, played along and quipped, &quot;Patas si Lord.&quot;  </p><p>There was also an instance when Max tossed out the classic “Why did the chicken cross the road?” joke and did a little chicken impression to sell it. Even though it didn’t quite land, Vice was still impressed by how effortlessly &#x27;sosyal&#x27; Max can be.  </p><p>Then, in another episode, just hearing Max’s name made Vice growl like beast, joking that his tummy was just full... full of ‘bitterness’. &quot;Gusto ko paggising ko, gan&#x27;yan ako minsan kahit isang araw lang. Kung meron akong mukha na gusto ko paggising ko one day, ay, Max Collins.&quot; Max, always game for a laugh, said she’d be down to swap faces with Vice either, because, according to her, Vice is richer and he&#x27;s got the face that would make her famous wherever she goes. </p><p>That joke must have stuck with Vice because, in another episode, he said they should do a show together playing twins. But of course, he added a humorous twist, saying they’d be “Kambal sa Uma”—referring to the iconic ABS-CBN fantasy drama where one twin is half-human, half-rat. </p><p>Finally, Vice got too curious and straight-up asked Max about her beauty secret. But he was completely thrown off when she casually said the first thing she does in the morning is drink coffee. “Walang toothbrush?” Vice asked. Max just laughed and played along, saying that’s why she always carries mints in her pocket. That sent Vice into a fit of laughter, joking that maybe skipping the toothbrush is actually the secret to beauty.  </p><p>Well, maybe the best beauty secret is laughter, don&#x27;t you think? </p>
