MattCha Forever: Behind the scenes of DonBelle’s “How To Spot A Red Flag” coffee-nale!

How we wish these characters could be our kape-ling forever! 

Who would have thought that the best way to settle a love triangle was with a coffee-making showdown? That’s exactly what went down in the finale episode of "How To Spot A Red Flag." And while only one of Matt (Donny Pangilinan) or JR (Jameson Blake) could win the competition—and ultimately, Cha’s (Belle Mariano) heart—they made it clear that  no woman could ever come between their friendship. 

Well, nothing could break the bond we’ve built with these characters either, right? So for the last time, here’s your weekly dose of behind-the-scenes moments from the DonBelle series. One final look at the memories, the laughter, and the friendships that made this show so special.  

Let's take a moment to appreciate Belle in her stunning Hawaiian dance costume. She absolutely owned the stage with her graceful performance during Legacy’s anniversary party, where she also took home the Best Barista award. And there are stills in this album to prove how gorgeous she looked! 

As the Best Barista, it was only fitting that Cha played judge in the ultimate battle of the brews, with Matt and JR both putting their skills (and their hearts) on the line. In the end, Cha crowned JR as the winner—but did she really choose him because of his coffee? 

Later that night, under the breezy beach air and a sky full of stars, Cha admitted that she actually knew which cup Matt made, but she just felt JR needed the trophy more. She actually loved Matt’s coffee, too. And just like that, MattCha became official—sealed with a kissy moment. We know you want to see more behind-the-scenes snaps, so it’s in the gallery. 

Cha’s family started fresh with a new coffee trailer, and Matt was right there helping with the orders. But wait—was this work hours or flirting time? Because that little 'kiss' while making coffee was too cute. There’s a BTS photo of that exact moment waiting for you in the gallery, too.  

Of course, it wasn’t just the lead cast having a blast. Mylene Dizon, Benjie Paras, Christian Vasquez, and Angel Aquino made the set extra lively. Meanwhile, Esny Ranollo wasn’t just Cha’s bestie in the series; he was everyone’s friend on set. And guess what? He even managed to pull off a cute moment with Jameson—caught on cam!
