The entire nation was left in tears after the recent heart-wrenching scenes in "Saving Grace: The Untold Story" where Ana (Julia Montes), who had always kept her emotions in check, finally let her walls crumble for her student Grace (Zia Grace), after realizing that the young girl has been silently enduring physical abuse at home.

An earlier episode, aptly titled "Takas," was a straight-up cry fest as Ana shared a sincere moment with Grace before she was set to leave for her dream abroad. With all the innocence and desperation of a child longing for freedom, Grace looked up at the sky and begged the birds to take her with them. Because unlike her home, the sky seemed safe. And as if that wasn’t already enough to get the tears flowing, Grace would finally unleash the pain she had been holding in, asking why her own mother treats her like trash.

Despite it all, Grace let her teacher go, telling her she would be fine and that there was no need to worry. Ana left with a heavy heart. But just as she rode the cab, her hesitation completely turned into panic when she saw Grace’s cruel stepfather, Chito (Christian Bables), approaching in the distance. In the middle of the brewing storm—both literal and emotional—she rushed back and took Grace with her, planning to bring the child to her supposed relative in Quezon.

The episode's 'feels' sure felt like a whole typhoon. Zia is truly a gift from the acting gods. Her tears fell so naturally and her voice quivered with just the right amount of innocence and pain—it was impossible not to cry with her. Julia's task was a hard one, too. She had to cry, but subtly, holding back just enough to stay true to her character’s strong facade.

And because the series knows how to spoil fans, Dreamscape Entertainment dropped behind-the-scenes photos from the #SGTakas episode, giving us a closer look at how this emotionally charged sequence was filmed.

In some snaps, Julia and Zia are seen wearing their serious expressions as they sat on a bed of gravel. The crew is also spotted working in the background.

Kudos also the show's makeup team because the bruises and wounds on Zia are almost painful to look at, which only goes to show how real they appear. They made Grace’s suffering feel even more tangible.

These BTS photos just prove that "Saving Grace The Untold Story" doesn't cut corners when it comes to authenticity, from the action to the production details. It's truly a must-watch series! So, catch it weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live (KOL), TV5, and A2Z.
