Contrary to her angelic splendor and admirable personality in real life, promising actress Aya Fernandez radiates completely different aura in the ABS-CBN Studios primetime series “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/savinggrace">Saving Grace: The Untold Story,</a>” as she plays the feisty, cunning, and manipulative antagonist Ashley Santillan.Over the past months of watching the well-loved series, we’ve indeed witnessed how Ashley has done everything to destroy the reputation of award-winning veteran public service host and her stiffest rival Miranda Valdez, portrayed by the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, in her attempt to dethrone her. Thus, Miranda absolutely hated her right off the bat. Aside from being pretentious, sarcastic, and snarky, one of the many reasons that Miranda highly disliked about Ashley is her being pakialamera, as she tries to meddle in how Miranda runs the program, as well as how she steers the controversial case of Grace (Zia Grace) and her family. She even alleged her of already sensationalizing the story, to which Miranda clapped back by schooling her on the proper and prolific way of handling a story. As she tried to confront and humiliate Miranda in their next clash, Ashley had found herself being the one at the receiving end instead after the former showed her a candid video of her intimate moment with one of their executives, Mr. Galvez. Apart from having professionalism, integrity, and substance, she was advised by Miranda to depend not only in her charms in making it to the top but in sharpening her skills and expertise, too. Ashley tried to explain the next time they bumped into each other but Miranda once again relayed an unsolicited advice to her, which apparently vexed her. Instead of heeding Miranda’s advice, Ashley kept on finding more ways to malign her stiffest rival by doing her own investigation to look for loopholes that would bring Miranda in the bad light. From simply trying to get information from Tommy (PJ Endrinal), the assistant producer of Miranda’s program, and to influence the decision of Mr. Galvez regarding the broadcast of Miranda’s much-awaited interview with the alleged kidnapper Anna (Julia Montes), Ashley even went all the way to Palawan to glean more information about the possible connection of Miranda with Anna, to which she succeeded with the help of two unsuspecting gossipmongers.Ashley was able to use everything she had discovered, as well as Sarah’s (Jennica Garcia) grief, to her advantage as she spilled in one of her online livestreams that the reason why Miranda was covering up Anna was because she was a former fiancée of Julius (Sam Milby), the executive producer of “Karamay.” Besides, she also called Miranda unethical for defending a criminal, since Anna has been accused of being the one to kill her father many years ago.  Since she already had an inkling about Miranda’s ties with an orphanage, Ashley used her charms and eloquence to the private investigator hired by Miranda and was able to rummage through the documents that contain information about the orphanage and the mystery child that Miranda has seemed to be looking for. As both of them share a common goal of bringing down Miranda, Ashley and Sarah have joined forces in destroying her. And after spending quite a long time to look for evidence that could prove her amiable connection with Anna, Ashley found a photo that could prove it, which she dubbed as the “pinaka malaking eskandalo ng taon.” Will Ashley really succeed in ruining the reputation of Miranda and in bringing her down?
