Watching a teleserye or movie becomes so much more immersive when the perfect theme song plays in the background. It just makes the scenes so real and affecting. One of the go-to artists trusted to bring this magic to life is Jona, thanks to her powerful vocals laced with emotion. There’s something about her singing that makes a painful scene even more heart-wrenching and a kilig moment even more heart-fluttering.For the sake of fun and a little throwback, Kapamilya Chat asked Jona to take on the &quot;Guess the Song&quot; challenge, where posters from the teleseryes and films she’s lent her voice to were flashed on screen. She had to recall which song she recorded for each one, and of course, give a sample of a few lines.One of Jona&#x27;s first assignments as a Kapamilya back in 2016 was performing the theme song for the afternoon drama series &quot;<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/4/28/throwback-pokwang-and-melai-in-we-will-survive-2016-0031" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">We Will Survive</a>,&quot; topbilled by Melai Cantiveros and Pokwang. The single was “I Will Survive,” and it was the perfect fit for the story’s powerful, feel-good messageMeanwhile, the Fearless Diva was baffled for a moment when the logo of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano&#x27;s teleserye &quot;Dolce Amore&quot; popped up on the screen. With so many OSTs under her belt, Jona forgot that she had recorded a song for this LizQuen series. Shy, she chuckled when reminded of the track titled &quot;Spark.&quot; Well, we understand that sometimes she might forget a song or two out of the countless recordings she did over the years.On the other hand, Jona got excited when shown the poster of LizQuen&#x27;s &quot;My Ex and Whys&quot; as she could still clearly remember singing &quot;You&quot; for this film.The “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/asap" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ASAP</a>” artist also added some serious feels, of heartbreak and falling in love, to the romantic film &quot;Barcelona: A Love Untold&quot; (2016), starring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, where she performed the heartfelt ballad &quot;I&#x27;ll Never Love This Way Again.&quot;Next, we got a throwback to 2018 with &quot;Asintado,&quot; the series starring Julia Montes, and for which Jona sang &quot;Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita.&quot;Also on the list was Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto&#x27;s &quot;<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/ngayonatkailanman/articles-photos/throwback-the-stars-of-ngayon-at-kailanman-2018-16508" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ngayon At Kailanman</a>&quot; (2019), where Jona took on the theme song with the same title.Despite having so many tracks in her repertoire, each one still holds a special place in her heart, including &quot;Init Sa Magdamag,&quot; which was the soundtrack to Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion, and JM de Guzman&#x27;s teleserye with the same title. This was shown in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, making it even more unforgettable.And of course, no list of her iconic OSTs would be complete without &quot;The Broken Marriage Vow,&quot; starring Jodi Sta. Maria. With Jona giving life to the series&#x27; &#x27;saksak-puso&#x27; anthem, &quot;Tinatapos Ko Na,&quot; each heart-wrenching moment in Dr. Jill&#x27;s failed love story hit harder.Through the years, Jona&#x27;s versatility has been a perfect match to movies and teleseryes. Whether it&#x27;s a kilig scene or a painful heartbreak, her voice is always there to amplify the feeling.
