The sky&#x27;s the limit for Iñigo Pascual. From dropping chart-topping hits to breaking into the international entertainment scene, he’s been on a steady climb toward global stardom. He&#x27;s always on the move, always chasing the next big dream.But even in the middle of all the glitz and grind, Iñigo knows the importance of setting personal rules. Because when your schedule is packed and your ambitions are high, boundaries help you stay focused and grounded. In this edition of the “My Rules” challenge, Iñigo shares the non-negotiables that keep him on track.Iñigo started working in showbiz early—around age 15—but back then, he wasn’t very financially aware yet since his parents were still helping manage his talent fees. It wasn’t until he became independent at 20 that he realized just how tough budgeting could be as part of “adulting.” That’s why his number one rule when it comes to money is to be disciplined enough not to spend on things that aren’t really important. &quot;Bago ka pa gumastos, ihiwalay mo na &#x27;yung mga kailangan mo para sa mga bayarin,&quot; he advises. And after securing the essentials, make sure to put some into savings too.Laughing, Iñigo admits he used to be an easy target for ‘budol’ by friends when it came to shopping. Just one invite to the mall and he’d join, and of course, it was hard to go home without buying anything. But over time, he learned to manage this and figured out that online shopping works better for him. With online shopping, he only adds essentials to his cart, unlike mall visits where it’s easy to browse and get tempted by all kinds of items.When it comes to traveling, Iñigo says there are two types of travelers—those who plan everything, and those who go with the flow. And he’s definitely the latter. So, his rule for travel is to always have someone who’s great at organizing the itinerary. &quot;Basta gisingin n&#x27;yo ako, kahit saan tayo pumunta basta makakakain, sasama ako, go lang ako,&quot; he laughs. His charisma is enough to tell that Iñigo is one friendly guy. He’s open to connecting with all kinds of people, but when it comes to friendships, there’s one important rule, which is to make sure his core group of friends has good intentions toward others. Gossiping is a deal breaker for him. &quot;Instead of having friends that talk behind your back, it&#x27;s important to have friends that you know will fight for you when it’s needed to.&quot; He appreciates friends ho have a &#x27;growth&#x27; mindset rather than those who just keep gossiping about other people&#x27;s lives. &quot;Para sa akin, importante na &#x27;yung mga taong kasama mo ay gusto kang i-build up, at the same time, binu-build up din nila ang sarili nila talagang mahahawa ka sa energy nila,&quot; he says, adding that he’s all about quality over quantity when it comes to friendships. When asked about relationships, instead of giving a specific rule, Iñigo lays out the qualities he looks for in a partner. He says he prefers a girl who is &quot;family-oriented, kalog, at kayang sakyan &#x27;yung trip ko.&quot; Since he can be hyper at times, he’s looking for someone who can match his vibe. Lastly, not a requirement, but it’d be a sweet bonus if she loves to sing. And when asked about his career philosophy, Iñigo, who stars in the film &quot;Fatherland,&quot; admits that he didn’t have a personal guideline to follow when he was just starting out in the industry. He used to grab every opportunity because he wanted to make his team proud. But as he matured in the entertainment scene, he realized that he also needs to be more mindful of the projects he accepts.  &quot;Kasi minsan ang hirap ng tanggap ka lang nang tanggap pero hindi ka masaya sa performance mo dahil hindi ka talaga ready sa pinapagawa sa&#x27;yo. Ikaw lang din mahihirapan. Ikaw lang maba-bash,&quot; he says. Now, he knows that it’s important to think carefully about the assignments he takes on. He wants to be sure he’s fully prepared and not half-baked when committing to any project.
