Tensions and emotions hit a new high in the June 9 episode of "Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition" as the 6 Final Duos went through a nerve-wracking face-to-face nomination where long-held ‘feelings’ were all laid bare for everyone to see. No more whispering in the Confession Room because this time, all the unfiltered truths were dropped right in front of the people involved. Who threw shade and who threw real talk?  

Among the six duos, it was Dustin Yu and Bianca de Vera, aka DusBi, who took the biggest hit, garnering the highest number of nomination points at 13, followed by AZ Martinez and River Joseph or AzVer with 7 points, and ShuKla or the team of Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman with 3 points. 

Looking closely at the reasons behind the votes cast against DusBi, there seems to be a recurring theme as what started as a sweet closeness between Dustin and Bianca, which even some housemates saw as 'kilig', has slowly become a point of concern, with other duos noting how their growing bond may be affecting their performance and presence inside the house.  

Klarisse and Shuvee, for instance, said that DusBi’s unresolved conflicts often influenced the overall mood in the house, especially during group tasks, while Shuvee pointed out how Dustin seems to lose the will to fight in certain challenges, and how Bianca, whom she called “Baby Biancs,” would sometimes lose focus as well. Charlie Fleming and Esnyr aka CharEs, also echoed this sentiment, calling out how DusBi’s misunderstandings could snowball into tension and confusion for everyone, while RaWi (Ralph de Leon and Will Ashley) cited the pair's lack of focus during the Holy Week challenge, which had ripple effects on the house as a whole. Even the duo of Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo noted the growing detachment as DusBi would often pull away from group bonding activities. AZ and River pointed out how Bianca had not always been present in helping out with chores, though they did acknowledge that they’ve seen her improve. 

As for AzVer, it was AZ who took most of the spicy comments, with several housemates, pointing out that her tendency to let emotions get the best of her is becoming an issue. Brent put it plainly when he said there were times AZ would get carried away by her emotions and fail to monitor her own actions, while Charlie expressed her love for AZ but also noted how she often gets emotional during tasks, which could be a setback for the group. Ralph and Will, too, voiced their concerns, with Ralph mentioning how AZ would sometimes suddenly snap even when she's being spoken to calmly, and Will adding that her connection with the other housemates seems to fade at times. Dustin and Bianca also added nomination points for AzVer, saying they feel a lack of growth on AZ’s part and how her same emotional struggles keep surfacing over and over. It was hard to ignore the pattern that most of the nomination points directed at AzVer had AZ’s lack of emotional control as the common denominator. 

And interestingly, the three points that landed ShuKla on the lineup of nominees came entirely from AzVer. River acknowledged that although they had previous misunderstandings with Shuvee, he has since seen her in a different light as the season progressed. But it was AZ who laid down the firmer reason, recalling how Shuvee openly mentioned things from the outside world when she officially entered the house, and that goes against Kuya’s rules.
