"Babaero ka ba?" Daniel and Anthony ‘gang up’ on Ian in the “Incognito Lie Detector Challenge”

After grilling the Kontraks with tough, tell-all questions in the “Lie Detector Challenge,” it's finally time for the Kontraktor himself, Ian Veneracion, to get strapped to the polygraph machine, with his "Incognito" co-stars Daniel Padilla and Anthony Jennings stepping in as his interrogators.

The Kontraktor is about to face a mission even he couldn’t escape. Let's see if Daniel and Anthony would go easy on him. 

He calmly introduced himself as Stephen Ian Veneracion, born on February 7, and passed the warm-up round without issue, until the questions started to dig a little deeper, beginning with whether he thinks he’s a good actor, to which he answered "yes," and the lie detector machine deemed it honest.

But when asked if he believes he’s the best actor in “Incognito,” Ian said "no," which also came out as the truth, prompting Anthony to react, “Mabait,” while Daniel jokingly threw in, “Pero tingin mo ba ikaw ang pinakamatanda dito sa show na ’to?” which Ian still answered with a confident “no,” only for the machine to register it as a lie, filling the room with laughter.

When asked if he’s happy to be part of the series and proud of his role as the Kontraktor, Ian gave a firm yes, though Anthony couldn’t help but follow it up with a tease, “Happy ka ba na dumadating ka lang kapag ubos na namin ‘yung kalaban?” to which Ian laughed and still answered "yes," but the machine buzzed a lie, prompting Ian to clarify that while he genuinely enjoys the role, he sometimes wishes he were part of the major action scenes too and not just, as Anthony joked, someone who shows up when the fight is already over.

He admitted that he has had projects and roles he regretted, saying “marami,” which turned out to be true, but when asked if he’s ever worked with someone he didn’t like, Ian replied “wala naman,” but the polygraph caught the 'dishonesty,' leaving the boys chuckling. 

The timeless heartthrob denied having a fake Instagram account, but did say he checks out fan accounts dedicated to him as he appreciates the effort people put in to show support.

When asked if he’s happy with his life now, he retorted, “Yes,” and the machine backed him up. Still on matters of the heart, Ian shared that he has had his heart broken and also confirmed that he has no regrets in his love life, with both answers coming out as truthful.

He didn’t pretend to be perfect when asked if he’s ever lied to his wife, but clarified that it’s usually the kind of harmless white lies husbands tell to avoid hurting their wives’ feelings—like when she asks, “Bagay ba ‘tong dress sa’kin?” and the safest answer is always yes, even when the truth might say otherwise. The machine agreed with his honesty.

As they wrapped up, Daniel dropped an impromptu question, “Babaero ka ba?” which Ian answered in jest with, “Sobra, wala akong ibang inisip kundi babae,” and while everyone knew it was just a joke, the polygraph read it as true, sending the room into another round of laughter and teasing.
