Vice Ganda's hilarious ‘bardagulan’ with her new ‘kumare’ Zeny on It's Showtime’s “Step In The Name of Love”

And that’s exactly what happened in the June 11 episode of <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/itsshowtime">&quot;It’s Showtime&quot;</a> when she met her newest &#x27;kumare&#x27; and instant ‘frenemy’ Zeny, the senior citizen who stole the show as the hype bestie in &quot;Step In The Name of Love.” In the dating segment, the searcher sits pretty on a platform while their chosen bestie takes charge of flexing all the best traits of their friend to the hosts and &#x27;hakbangers.&#x27; But this time, instead of just being a supporting character, Zeny became the &#x27;main character&#x27; of the show as she and Vice exchanged the most hilarious banters that had everyone cracking up, turning the whole segment into a full-on &#x27;bardagulan.&#x27;<div> </div><div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAFz8gWM8iRADsJr&amp;cid=ABacLCSbdDQE8ca8"></script></div><div> </div>Vice already felt Zeny&#x27;s &#x27;taray&#x27; charm in the way she carried herself and how sharp she answered questions, like when she was asked if she’s still single and quickly shot back with a dry but hilarious &quot;walang nagkakagusto.&quot; And the punchlines kept coming, like when they started talking about how Vice doesn’t like &quot;monay na may hiwa,&quot; then Zeny, out of nowhere, reacted with, “Gusto mo magkapatong?&quot; which she quickly clarified was about two pieces of monay without filling placed on top of each other. But instead of monay, she was served with hopia, which she politely refused because she was already full, prompting Vice to react with a playful, almost bitter remark, &quot;Ako naman ang kakain, hindi ikaw.&quot; As Vice took a bite, she reminded the staff to always prepare soft food for elderly guests so it’s easier to swallow, to which Zeny quipped, &quot;Malaki ang lalamunan ko,&quot; which made Vice spiral into laughter and ask, &quot;Bakit lumuwag ang lalamunan mo?&quot; And before everyone in the room could recover, Zeny fired back with something even more direct, telling Vice, &quot;Ikaw rin! Masama rin ang isip mo. Alam ko &#x27;yung utak mo.&quot;But all that sass didn’t bother Vice at all, in fact, she said she loves Zeny. She even sniffed her at one point, and joked that Zeny smelled like ointment. When she tried smelling her again, Zeny cut her off with a straight-faced, &quot;Ano&#x27;ng amoy? Huwag kang sinungaling.&quot; Zeny apparently can’t stand liars, so when Vice told her she looked pretty, she didn’t seem convinced. Vice, pretending to sulk, waited for comfort, only for Zeny to give her a dry, “Oh, iiyak ka pa?” Things only got messier during the flexing round when Zeny mentioned something about matchmate Ermie supposedly turning her back on people she doesn’t like, which Ermie denied. And as if Vice had finally run out of patience, she jokingly warned Zeny that she might go home with a neck brace, then grabbed the cue card and read it aloud to settle things once and for all, only to confirm that the line “kapag ayaw niya sa tao ay tatalikod siya” was actually written there. But instead of owning up to it, Zeny just pointed at the Showtime team and said, &quot;&#x27;Di ba show n&#x27;yo &#x27;to?&quot; There was also a part where Vice slightly pulled down the cue card so it wouldn’t block Zeny’s face, only to end up lowering it way too far, which made Zeny comment, &quot;Sobrang layo naman.&quot; And that one line sent everyone in the studio laughing even harder, especially when she added, &quot;&#x27;Ito si Vice dinadala ako sa maling landas.&quot; From there, Vice exposed Zeny for repeatedly asking about the ₱5,000 talent fee, to which Vice responded in jest, &quot;I-three five lang kita nanggigigil ako sa&#x27;yo.&quot;Vice was completely caught off guard when Zeny suddenly brought up this story about them supposedly bumping into each other at a &quot;lamay&quot; where Vice didn’t even acknowledge her, which made Vice explain right away that people still expecting her to be funny even when she&#x27;s feeling sad is exactly why she sometimes avoids going to wakes. &quot;Kahit sa patay kailangan kumaway ka? Kahit sa patay, kailangan naka-smile?&quot; she said in her classic half-joking, half-&#x27;pikon&#x27; tone. So, Zeny comforted her, saying, &quot;Joke lang! Nagagalit ka naman, &#x27;di ba mag-kumare tayo?&quot; Yes, after all the teasing, Zeny still managed to invite Vice to be a godmother at her daughter’s wedding so they could officially be &quot;kumares.&quot; And since they’re becoming kumares, Zeny went ahead and told Vice in advance what she’s expecting as a gift for her daughter’s wedding—₱500,000. Vice was so stunned she froze for a second before calling Zeny a ‘scammer,’ but Zeny, unfazed, just said it could be done through installment, which made Vice blurt out, “Nagka-utang pa ako!&quot; Stay tuned to &quot;Step In The Name of Love&quot; to see who else might vibe with Vice next, whether it&#x27;s a hype bestie, matchmate, or a hakbanger maybe.
