JB Bangcaya sets the stage on fire, secures a Grand Finals spot in “PGT Season 7”

During his intense semifinal act on Sunday, June 1, JB kept everyone holding their breath with his ‘fire-bending’ exhibition, complete with sparklers and bursts of fireworks that just made the whole spectacle even more mesmerizing to watch.</p><div><iframe width="967" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/trJU7fpmWck" title="JB Bangcaya secures a spot in the Season 7 Grand Finals | Pilipinas Got Talent  2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>Let’s look back at how JB first stunned the judges and earned his rightful spot in the competition. </p><p>During the Judges’ Audition, JB lit up the PGT outdoor stage, quite literally, as he opened his act surrounded by flames. He began by balancing one flaming wheel, then gradually amped up the intensity with three fire-lit wheels spinning across his feet and forehead. As the act went on, the flames grew bigger and the tricks even more dangerous. He hadn’t seen them in three years since leaving their hometown in Occidental Mindoro to work as a cook and performer in Muntinlupa.</p><p>That dream came true, and in the most heartwarming way, as his parents and his wife were all in the audience during his live semifinal performance on Sunday.</p><div><iframe width="967" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/z1VxbpwR0wA" title="JB Bangcaya’s Journey to Semi-Finals | Pilipinas Got Talent 2025" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>For his semifinal act, JB went straight into the danger zone as he opened strong with a set of spinning flaming wheels, and breathed fire. Soon, he was balancing one flaming wheel on his forehead with arms stretched wide. He dropped to the ground and amped things up even more, time spinning fire wheels simultaneously on his hands, feet, and forehead, which showcased his strong endurance.</p><p>And as the routine peaked, he brought out a giant steel cube, lit it on fire, and began twirling it. He balanced the cube on his palm and then, bringing the difficulty up another notch, held it using a metal rod clenched between his lips, with the flaming structure connected directly to the end. Fireworks erupted as he was balancing the cube. To cap off the act, JB brought out a pair of sparkler poi and spun them releasing a shower of golden sparks that lit up the entire stage. </p><p>JB received a well-deserved applause from all four judges. Eugene, who gave him the Golden Buzzer during the auditions, looked especially proud as she praised the performance and the strength and heart behind it. “<em>Ang lakas mo</em>!” she told JB, whom she called an inspiration to many Pinoys. JB stood there, catching his breath, brandishing the character of a true Filipino—someone willing to risk it all, scars and burns included, just to show the world what he’s made of.</p><p>He topped the public voting on joinnow.ph among the second batch of semifinal acts, earning a commanding 64.15% of the total votes.
