It rained teasing and kilig at the Kapamilya Chat studio as Kyle Echarri and Kai Montinola took on a pick-up line battle where they had to take turns picking a cheesy banat from a bowl and deliver it to each other while staring eye to eye, with the person receiving the line trying not to react.A tough challenge for two people who love to smile, but this was also a test of how well they could hold their expressions as actors. Kyle went first, flashing a grin as he delivered, “If I could rearrange the alphabet, I’d put U and I together.” His game plan was to flaunt his sweetest smile at Kai the whole time, hoping it would be contagious enough to make her smile as well. But our girl was in full game mode and kept a poker face from start to finish. How did she even do that while being stared down by Kyle&#x27;s magnetic eyes?!Kai surprised her on-screen partner by starting her line with a flirty, “Kyle,” which proved to be effective enough to make him laugh on the spot. And even though Kyle already accepted defeat, he still let her finish the pick-up line, which, by the way, you might want to use on your next dinner date. It went: “You know what’s on the menu? Me n u.” Kyle laughed even harder when Kai thought he didn’t catch the punchline and went on to explain it to him. In another round, it looked like Kyle’s tactic of mumbling his line actually worked because Kai ended up laughing after failing to understand what he said. But Kai quickly got her revenge when she made Kyle smile with her next cheesy line, too. And in defense, he said he&#x27;s just naturally a happy guy.To get back at her, Kyle came up with a new strategy, and that was to go all-out funny with exaggerated facial expressions to make Kai laugh. But nope, not even his line and his goofy antics combined could break Kai’s poker face.
