For many, parents are composed of straight heterosexual spouses. But in modern times, we’ve witnessed families being led by a pair of homosexual partners or a pair of individuals who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community—and among them are Teddy and Lorena, the “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/incognito">Incognito</a>” characters played by veteran female thespians Ana Abad Santos and Sharmaine Suarez, who are the beloved parents of Kaila Estrada’s Max Alvero.  While we love seeing their fondest moments together as a family, there are things that must come to an end, just like their beautiful bond, as the lovely lesbian couple already bade adieu following their tragic demise after the bombs that Manuel (Joem Bascon) planted killed both of them on the very day of their anniversary.  As we celebrate their union that indeed proved that love indeed wins just in time for the conclusion of Pride Month, as well as molded Max into the feisty, strong, independent, and beautiful woman that she is, let us look back on the scenes that showed us their lighthearted moments together as a family and how Teddy and Lorena showered their unica hija with love in this edition of Kapamilya Toplist. It can be recalled that during one of her conversations with Gab (Maris Racal), Max imparted that she was actually adopted by her parents after she was recovered by the army during an encounter. She may never have had a father figure in her life, yet her two moms had never fallen short in showering her with the tender loving care and support that only mothers can provide. Just on the very first time that we’d seen them onscreen, we already knew how awesome yet different parents they were. Teddy was apparently the cool, easy-going, and progressive mom, who was very supportive of Max’s endeavors, while Lorena was the quite serious and old-fashioned one, who tend to worry so much about their kid. Since they’d witnessed how Max grieved the death of her fiancé, Seve (Victor Silayan), who died during a deadly clash between the military and the rebels, both of them were so excited when she introduced her fellow kontrak-turned-good friend JB Bonifacio (Richard Gutierrez) to them. They were so stoked to know that their daughter had allowed new people in her life again after shutting her world off from anyone aside from them for a very long time.  Furthermore, they were also glad to have witnessed Max finally move on from her biggest heartbreak then, as they were by her side when she decided to delete Seve’s voice recordings that she listened to over and over again, as well as burn their pictures together and other mementos that would remind her of him.  As they root for JB, Teddy couldn’t help but be concerned upon learning that he is the son of General Antonio “Tony” Bonifacio (Eddie Gutierrez). Thus, she advised her to check on JB, telling her that he might just be hiding the pain and sadness he was feeling behind his strong facade as their family faced another challenge. Even though the kontraks were supposed to have a mini assembly, Max decided to opt out of duty since she wanted to be with her parents on their anniversary celebration. She chose to stay with them and helped them in the preparations for their upcoming party, as well as bought matching shirts for them as gifts. Little did they know that what was meant to be a special and merry celebration would turn into the most heartbreaking and tragic day of her life.   What’s going to happen with Max now that she has already lost both of her parents?
