It has already been months since the last time that we’d seen Santino’s (Ronwaldo Martin) former flame, Annika (Dexie Diaz), on “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/batangquiapo" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</a>.” While there are some who might still be wondering where she has been all this time or if she will still return, it seems that Santino has already moved on from her, as he seems to have found a new love interest in Erika, the rebellious and happy-go-lucky youngest scion of the influential Guerrero clan, played by Gillian Vicencio.Santino may have expressed his dislike towards her at first because of her ‘ostentatious’ image, yet it seems that Erika immediately got smitten by him the very moment that they first bumped into each other. As we look forward to seeing where their blossoming closeness is heading, let us revisit the five scenes that show their initial encounters in this episode of Friday 5.Their two different worlds first collided when Santino defended Erika from a man who tried to harass her at the club, without him having any inkling that she’s the daughter of Mayor Roberto Guerrero (Albert Martinez) and the cousin of his then-potential business partner, Iñigo (Albie Casiño). As Erika attempted to introduce herself and apologize to him for being rude, telling him that she tends to react that way to strangers, Santino rejected her and told her that he wasn’t inclined to be friends with her. In their next meeting, Erika treated him and his friends to two buckets of drinks as her way of paying off his heroic deed for her. She tried to hit on Santino again by complimenting his outfit, but he shut her off by saying that he always dressed that way and that he found her flashy and heavily sequined OOTD “sakto lang.” He then went on to mock her for boasting about her one-of-a-kind attire by telling her that another girl was wearing the same clothes as hers, but in a different color, which seemingly humiliated her.Santino and Erika then had the chance to have an intimate moment together when it was just the two of them in the VIP area. When asked why she was alone at the time and had no friends to accompany her, she lamented how they were like other people who had only perceived her as the daughter of the city mayor, as well as how she wished to be part of a more decent family with a peaceful life. Since he had no idea where she lived, he decided to take her to their home in Quiapo, much to the astonishment of Rigor (John Estrada). Upon learning that she’s a Guerrero, he instantly offered to bring her back to her family, to which Santino agreed.However, considering that someone was able to take a video of her while she was “high” on drugs, Erika was afraid that her parents would punish her. Thus, she asked Santino to help her hide by taking her somewhere that she would be safe and her family would not be able to find her—and he obliged. Will Santino and Erika be each other’s “endgame”?
