Those who got to watch the “<a href="http://itsshowtime.abs-cbn.com">It’s Showtime</a>” segment “Step in the Name of Love” could surely recall that it started out last April as a “blind dating game” participated in by relatively young people who are part of the millennial and Gen Z generations.  But in recent months, it eventually became a matchmaking segment for older people comprised of Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, and even the so-called “Silent generation”—proving to everyone that they may already be old in age, yet they’re definitely still young at heart. We had not only witnessed them try to have another shot in romance but also display their playful and silly facets as they banter with the hosts, especially with Vice Ganda.  So, in this edition of Showtime Toplist, let us revisit the hilarious kulitan moments of the Unkabogable Star with the senior contestants! Just in time for Friday the 13th last June, Vice seemed to get a bit scared when Nanay Baby, “hype bestie” of best friend of searcher Nanay Litz, mentioned that she has a third eye, which made her stop poking fun at her. However, as Jhong Hilario quizzed Nanay Baby if she was able to see entities inside the studio, she clarified that her third eye only opens to reveal to her the side chicks of her husband. As Nanay Baby exposed more of Nanay Litz’s “red flags” rather than build her up to the “hakbangers” by enumerating her “green flags,” Vice jested that she would bring them to the barangay hall instead to settle whatever dispute they probably had.  A day before the Father’s Day celebration last June, Tatay Opong received the support of his daughter, Joyce, in his pursuit of finding new romance. But before he got to meet the three gorgeous and groovy hakbangers, namely Rosita, Teresita, and Gracita, whom the Unkabogable Star compared to BINI, they enthusiastically accepted the hosts’ dare for them to do a trending dance challenge. Among them, it was Nanay Gracita who caught Vice’s attention the most because of how “low” she went as she did her made-up dance moves.  Before she uttered her strong, controversial statements against her “friend,” searcher Lyn, “hypebestie” Virgie was teased by Vice for her minimal reactions, saying that she probably didn’t like to mess up her beautiful hair. Virgie then went on to stun and make Vice laugh with the way she pronounced the word “favorite,” to which the latter commented, “Minsan lang ‘to sumagot pero sabog na sabog, ‘no. Cardiac kung cardiac eh, ‘no.” After confidently demonstrating to everyone the proper way that men should hold a woman’s hand with the help of hakbanger Jun, the Unkabogable Star then admitted to getting nervous when Tine, the bestie of searcher Maricor, suddenly uttered the Visayan word “kubal.” It was after Vice and Karylle discussed that there are women who actually prefer men with calloused hands that Tine butted in out of the blue. Thankfully, Kim Chiu was quick to save Tine by telling Vice that “kubal” is the Bisaya term for “kalyo” or callous, which eased up everyone’s anxiety. Those who have known Vice for a very long time are likely aware that she’s afraid of dolls. Thus, her co-hosts jokingly told searcher Nanay Naneth to introduce her to her dolls once she would visit her in Tarlac, to which Vice responded in jest that she would ‘harm’ her. As Nanay Naneth expressed how disappointed she was that she and her amigas weren’t able to see Vice during her last visit to Tarlac—where her beloved spouse, Ion, was also from—the gregarious host promised to inform her next time but with one condition: she must hide her doll collection. Nanay Naneth agreed and vowed to prepare sumptuous Kapampangan food for her. As Vice praised her shoes, Nanay Naneth said that she really made sure to wear her best OOTD, especially for her. The latter went on to express how much she enjoyed talking to the host and how their boisterous exchange made her feel younger, to which the Unkabogable Host jokingly replied that she felt like she was getting older quickly on the other hand.  And lastly, Vice had an adorable moment with searcher Tatay Lito, for she didn’t just tease him just like what she did with the other contestants, but she also posed for cute photos with him, too!  Were you able to catch these funny and delightful moments of Vice with the senior participants of “Step in the Name of Love,” madlang people?
