Right from the very beginning of her “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/idol-kids-philippines" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Idol Kids Philippines</a>” foray, Alexa Mendoza immediately captured the hearts of everyone, especially of the superstar idol judges, namely Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Angeline Quinto, and Juan Karlos, not just with her mind-blowing talent, but also with her heart for her beloved family.It can be recalled that during the auditions, wherein she belted “Nosi Balasi” by Sampaguita, she told the panel of judges that her main motivation in joining the contest was for her to be able to help her family afford to buy a car that they could use for various occasions.However, as her journey continued and she eventually made it to “The Final Showdown,” it seemed that her experiences had brought the talented 9-year-old singing champion from Calamba, Laguna, a brand-new perspective in life.“Noong sumali po ako sa ‘Idol Kids Philippines,’ pinangarap ko pong makabili ng sasakyan para po sa pamilya ko. Pero ngayon, pangarap ko na pong maging isang sikat na singer,” Alexa said, as she and her mother looked back on her “Idol Kids PH” stint.Furthermore, she reminisced on how she used to be a simple elementary school pupil prior to joining the competition. But now, many people can already recognize her, as well as convey their delight over her promising singing chops.This was seconded by her Mama Danabeth, who related that people have started to notice her daughter every time they go to the mall. She imparted how they would approach her and ask for photos with her once she’s already done playing. And for their family, it is the most beautiful experience that Alexa has ever had in her &quot;Idol Kids PH” journey.
