He made an appearance at a religious gathering attended by his fellow devotees of the Black Nazarene, where he shared an inspiring testimony about his journey—speaking of faith, hope, and resilience, as well as the learnings he had learned through the tribulations he faced. A living proof that anyone can change through their faith—and one of the greatest miracles of the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno—Tanggol reflected on his life as a “Batang Quiapo” who grew up in poverty and harsh realities. Instead of allowing his struggles to defeat him, he chose to see them as challenges to overcome and as motivation to keep moving forward in life. He may have committed mistakes and misdeeds in the past, yet he still felt the unconditional love and divine guidance of the Black Nazarene, which made him realize that his wrongdoings didn’t mean the end of his life, but rather the beginning of his transformation. Furthermore, his journey also taught him that the true measure of strength isn’t wealth or power, but a heart capable of loving genuinely, forgiving unconditionally, and serving others wholeheartedly.
