Vincent (Paulo Avelino) admits to Stella (Kim Chiu) his suspicions about Matthew (Rafael Rosell) in the May 12 episode of “The Alibi.”As Matthew finally vows to confess everything he knows about Walter (Sam Milby), he reveals that he had to defraud money from their company for his own benefit. Vincent suspects that Matthew may have killed Walter. “Kung gusto ko siyang patayin, matagal ko nang ginawa ’yun,” Matthew reasons.He adds that despite Walter’s constant blackmail against him, he could not go further and seek revenge, as Walter also helped him in some ways. Matthew pleads with Vincent to help him clear his image. “Sorry kung naging madamot ako sa’yo noon. Never ko pinagdamot sa’yo ang pagmamahal nina mom and dad,” he says, crying as fear creeps up on him.Meanwhile, Jacqueline (Zsa Zsa Padilla) grows worried about Matthew after Arthur (John Arcilla) kicks him out of their home. “Siya ang palpak bilang anak,” Arthur declares, giving Matthew a chance to prove himself further. This statement only confuses Jacqueline more.Later, Vincent and Stella quickly move their broadcasting equipment as Vincent decides to let Matthew stay at his house. Stella opposes the idea. “Bakit mo pinatuloy dito?” she asks. Vincent clarifies that they will let Matthew stay so they can spy on him and his actions.Vincent warns Stella to be more cautious of Matthew, as everything Matthew said earlier had no effect on him. “Ang ahas, kahit magpalit ng balat, ahas pa rin,” he says, teaming up with Stella to lure Matthew through their actions and uncover the truth.Vincent weighs the risks of letting Matthew into his home.
