Vincent (Paulo Avelino) and Stella (Kim Chiu) strengthen their faith in each other in the May 6 episode of “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/the-alibi" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Alibi.</a>”Now that Stella’s secret with Walter (Sam Milby) has come to light, George (Thou Reyes) questions Vincent on how he could still trust her after learning everything. Vincent draws from his instincts as a journalist, saying he can easily tell when someone is being truthful. “Alam din natin na kapag may tinatago ang isang tao, may mali,” George reiterates.Though uncertain about what to do, Vincent responds, “I choose to believe in her,” adding that he trusts his gut. He does not want Stella to go through what he once endured, when everyone turned their backs on him after suspecting he killed Walter. At that time, Stella was the only person who stood by him, and now, he chooses to do the same for her.Meanwhile, Stella opens up to Mona (Alma Moreno), who reminds her of the possibility that Vincent might still abandon her at any moment. “Pwede ka niyang ipakulong, ang dami niyang alam.” But Stella insists that Vincent would never do that, as he once had the chance but chose not to.“Sa tingin mo hindi ko pagkakatiwalaan yung ganong klaseng tao?” Stella remains firm. Mona tells her to leave with her siblings and live a peaceful life, as she has already helped Vincent enough that he even gave her a large sum of money. Still, Stella clings to Vincent’s promises of proving their innocence.George points out that Vincent used to never believe anything without checking the facts, but now he chooses to trust based on his feelings for Stella. Mona also notices how the Stella she once knew would never easily give her trust to anyone, yet now she is willing to give it all to Vincent.Vincent and Stella entrust everything to each other.
