Arci Muñoz through the years: Her Kapamilya teleserye roles that showcased her versatility as an actress

<p>Five years since her last acting stint on TV, actress Arci Muñoz is making her much-awaited comeback through the upcoming series “<a href="http://sigabo.abs-cbn.com"><strong><u>Coco Martin’s Sigabo!</u></strong></a>” She was seen in the first behind-the-scenes video released by CCM Film Productions wearing a police uniform, hinting at the role she will portray. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2026/6/15/here-are-the-stars-joining-coco-martin-and-julia-montes-in-the-much-awaited-series-sigabo-0105"><strong><u>READ: Here are the stars joining Coco Martin and Julia Montes in the much-awaited series “Sigabo”!</u></strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Ahead of her highly anticipated return, let us revisit, through this Kapamilya Spotlight feature, the notable performances that showcased Arci’s versatility and brilliance as an actress in various <a href="http://tv.abs-cbn.com"><strong><u>ABS-CBN Studios</u></strong></a> productions. </p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6c8e2NGXu3U" title="Kapamilya Spotlight: Arci Muñoz" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Like many celebrities we adore and idolize, she began her career through a reality talent competition in 2005. Although she did not win, she successfully broke into the entertainment industry and thrived. After a decade, she transferred to ABS-CBN where her career continued to flourish.  </p><p>In her first year as a certified Kapamilya in 2015, Arci really had a hectic schedule as she appeared in not just one, but three different programs. She made her debut in the “Spaghetti” episode of “<a href="http://mmk.abs-cbn.com"><strong><u>Maalaala Mo Kaya</u></strong></a>,” where she was paired with Jake Cuenca. She played Lara, who tried to win back her best friend-turned-boyfriend Marvin (Jake) after “ghosting” him for many years.  </p><p>She then top-billed the “Pagmamahalang Hinadlangan” episode of the legal drama anthology “<strong>Ipaglaban Mo</strong>,” showcasing her dramatic chops as Lucy, whose mother tried to destroy her relationship with her partner.  </p><p>It was also that same year when Arci starred in her first-ever Kapamilya teleserye, “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2025/5/28/throwback-pasion-de-amor-stars-in-their-most-daring-looks-2015-0320"><strong><u>Pasion de Amor</u></strong></a>,” the Philippine adaptation of the Colombian telenovela Pasion de Gavilanes, which was broadcast by ABS-CBN in the 2000s. She portrayed Norma, the strong-willed and protective eldest daughter of the Elizondo family caught in the story of revenge and romance.  </p><p>Later in 2016, she headlined the romance-drama series “<strong>Magpahanggang Wakas</strong>” as Aryann Castillo, who did everything she could to raise money to bail her beloved boyfriend, Waldo (Jericho Rosales), out after he was imprisoned for killing the man who had attempted to assault her. </p><p>The following year, she was cast in the daytime sports drama “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/articles-photos/throwback-the-stars-of-ikaw-lang-ang-iibigin-2017-14807"><strong><u>Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin</u></strong></a>” as Alex Torres, the determined and free-spirited boss of Gerald Anderson’s character, Gabriel, who eventually developed romantic feelings for him. </p><p>After playing a business owner, Arci took on the role of Dani Cobarrubias, a spirited, outspoken, and ambitious intern, in the 2018 primetime series “<strong>Since I Found You</strong>.” Beneath her bold and fearless exterior, Dani eventually fell in love with her demanding yet successful boss, Nathan Capistrano, portrayed by Piolo Pascual. </p><p>The talented actress then made her second appearance in “<strong>Ipaglaban Mo</strong>” in 2019 via the “Taiwan” episode, where she portrayed Baby, a devoted wife whose marriage was marred by abuse and infidelity from her husband Jess, played by Vin Abrenica. Later that year, she joined the cast of the family drama “<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/2026/4/19/take-a-trip-down-memory-lane-with-these-throwback-photos-from-pamilya-ko-2019-0024"><strong><u>Pamilya Ko</u></strong></a>” as Betty, a woman who harbored unrequited feelings for her best friend Chico, portrayed by lead actor and her real-life best friend JM de Guzman. </p><p>During the pandemic from late 2020 to mid-2021, Arci starred in “<strong>Walang Hanggang Paalam</strong>” alongside Paulo Avelino, Angelica Panganiban, and Zanjoe Marudo. She took on the role of Sam, a top national intelligence agent who helped her former colleague Emman search for his abducted child. It was later revealed that she’d secretly been in love with him.  </p><p>Her last acting project with ABS-CBN was the “Tattoo” episode of “<a href="http://mmk.abs-cbn.com"><strong><u>MMK</u></strong></a>” in 2021, which was actually the continuation of the “Fireworks” episode starring Bela Padilla and JC Santos in 2018. Arci portrayed letter sender Karla Bonifacio, a woman who gave love another chance after repeatedly being cheated on by her former boyfriend.
