<p>Arthur Cabrera (John Arcilla) is a character we can’t help but watch closely, especially as his every decision impacts his children—most notably Vincent (Paulo Avelino). Determined to keep everything under control, Arthur works tirelessly to protect and restore the family’s image. Arthur stands firm against Vincent</strong></div><p>Following rumors of the possible closure of Cabrera News, Vincent confronts Arthur and demands that he reconsider the decision, threatening to release an exposé if he refuses. Unmoved, Arthur stands firm, telling him, “Hindi porket Cabrera ka, that doesn’t mean you’re entitled to everything.” Vincent remains determined, insisting on proving Arthur wrong about his ability to lead the company. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>2. Arthur demands more from Vincent </strong></div><p>At the investors’ ball, Vincent and his parents engage in small talk. Vincent proudly tells Arthur that he can secure enough investors to save the company. Arthur counters that unless someone is held accountable for Walter’s (Sam Milby) death, he remains unimpressed. He urges Vincent to keep proving himself, warning that the investors’ night may be his last chance to do so. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>3. Arthur Lashes Out at Matthew </strong></div><p>Arthur then lashes out at Matthew for bringing Stella (Kim Chiu) to the party. Matthew admits he intended to drive Vincent and Stella apart, but Arthur insists that his plan only caused more harm. He compares Matthew to Walter, who would have handled things more effectively. “’Yung buong pamilya pa natin ang tinamaan dahil sa palpak na plano mo,” he reminds Matthew, condemning his reckless choices. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>4. Arthur balances fairness and strategy in dealing with Vincent </strong></div><p>Vincent’s efforts to secure investors collapse as they all back out after the chaos at the party, deepening his troubles. Matthew urges Arthur to cut Vincent off quickly, but Arthur insists on acting fairly, mindful of Jacqueline’s (Zsa Zsa Padilla) feelings. He reveals his strategy-- by announcing the company’s shutdown, he hopes Vincent will have a reason to step down, since Cabrera News is his legacy.  </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>5. Arthur holds Vincent accountable </strong></div><p>Vincent confronts Arthur over his actions toward Stella’s siblings, urging him to direct his anger at him instead. Arthur responds by blaming Vincent: “Wala kang pwedeng sisihin kundi ang sarili mo dahil pinasok mo ang gulong ito.” Vincent reiterates that he wants to prove his innocence, even if his own family turns against him. Arthur then recalls the help he once extended, noting that Vincent has only brought trouble in return.  </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>6. Arthur maintains control over the family narrative </strong></div><p>Arthur, together with Jacqueline, Matthew, and Claudia (Sofia Andres), gathers in the living room. Matthew calls for a toast to Vincent’s tragic fate, celebrating how everything has gone according to plan. Edward arrives and asks what is happening, but Arthur briefly explains it as a show of family solidarity. Edward objects to Vincent’s exclusion, yet Arthur insists that the family remains whole.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>7. Arthur recognizes Edward’s performance </strong></div><p>Jacqueline, Edward, and Arthur share a meal, delighted by Edward’s success at the hotel. Edward shares news of his strong performance, expressing his hopes for a promotion. Arthur agrees, amused that Edward made the effort to start from the bottom. He then declares Edward the new manager of their hotel restaurant.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>8. Arthur disciplines Vincent and Matthew </strong></div><p>While attempting to search for hidden files at the company, Arthur catches Vincent and Matthew and summons them to his office. Vincent tries to defend Matthew, but Arthur laughs. “Sayang ‘yung mga itinuro ko sa inyo!” he says, though Vincent recalls how Arthur once made him compete with Matthew. Arthur insists that the competition was meant to help them rise, but they never understood it. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>9. Arthur’s attempt at reconciliation with Vincent and Matthew </strong></div><p>Vincent and Matthew return home only to find the door ajar. Suspecting an intruder, they cautiously enter and discover Arthur cooking dinner for the three of them. When Vincent asks about his purpose, Arthur clarifies that he wants to remain civil with them, especially for Jacqueline’s sake. Vincent, however, doubts his sincerity.  </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>10. Arthur asks Vincent to trust him as a father </strong></div><p>During their confrontation, Vincent insists that he will not stop seeking answers regarding the Walter’s case involving Arthur and defends Stella. Arthur replies that if Vincent has already made his decision, there is no point in continuing their discussion. Vincent declares his intent to take the matter to court, but Arthur refuses to back down. </p><p>“Sinusubukan kong ayusin ang pamilyang ito. I always fail because of you,” Arthur says, reminding Vincent that he has tried to protect him from further trouble.
