Vincent (Paulo Avelino) saves Stella (Kim Chiu) from their burning house in the July 1 episode of <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/the-alibi" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">“The Alibi.”</a>On his way to meet Claudia (Sofia Andres), Vincent calls Stella to give her an update. Stella reminds him to take care, hoping their plan will finally work and that Claudia will cooperate. As they talk, Stella hears loud banging at their front door, leaving her unsettled.What Stella doesn’t realize is that their house is about to be set ablaze. While checking around, she is horrified to find the back door already engulfed in flames. Screaming for help, her cries reach Vincent through the phone, sending him into a panic.Stella quickly runs to save Katherine (Angelina Cruz) and Joseph (Enzo Osorio). As they rush through the door to escape, they find it blocked and nailed shut from the outside. Vincent immediately hurries over to Stella, worry etched on his face.Meanwhile, their neighbors notice smoke coming from Stella’s house. They scramble for help while Stella, Katherine and Joseph try to find a way out. Katherine and Stella force the door open using one of their bench chairs, as Aling Sonya (Lotlot Bustamante), Bubbles (Johaira Omar), and Charlie (PJ Endrinal) cry out in fear for their safety.Eventually, Stella and her siblings make it outside. However, Stella goes back in when she remembers the bag containing the money Vincent had promised her before. She tries to retrieve the bag, but has a hard time getting out as the fire worsens.Vincent later arrives and immediately goes inside to save Stella. As they almost make it out, a piece of wood falls on Vincent’s head, hitting him and causing him to collapse. Stella rushes to Katherine and asks her to keep the bag while she attends to Vincent.Vincent risks his life to save Stella.
