MANILA -- Paul Jake Castillo and Kaye Abad officially got together on April 14, 2014. Although they only publicly admitted their relationship a month after, their followers already believed that what they have was something special.

Indeed! Two years later, the two are set to the tie the knot.

Abad and Castillo were friends first before they became a couple.

During their first television interview in June 2014, Abad admitted that she was scared to enter into a relationship with Castillo because she doesn’t want to lose him as a friend.

“Ang hirap mag-take ng risk kasi magkaibigan [kami]. He’s one of my closest friends so kung hindi mag-work, mawawalan na ako ng boyfriend, mawawalan pa ako ng kaibigan,” she said.

Castillo believes they bring out the best in each other. “I found out na parang she could be my girlfriend naman,” he said at the time.

And even if they were only two months into their relationship, Abad and Castillo were already talking about settling down.

“We are taking it to the next level that’s why from friends, we became lovers... I don’t know what kind of relationship people are in if they don’t see themselves getting married,” he said.

As for Abad, she said, “Pangmatagalan ito… Ita-try ko 'yung best ko na mag-work din yung relationship na ‘to para hindi na rin naman masayang yung taon ko.”
