MANILA -- During its long run in the 1990s, the soap opera "Mara Clara" touched millions of viewers and made Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes into instant stars.

The original series ran from 1992 to 1997 and since then Santos has been crowned the country's "Drama Queen," while Reyes became a "Primera Kontrabida."

Last June 30, the cast of the original "Mara Clara" reunited at a Chinese restaurant in Bonifacio Global City. It was attended by Santos, Reyes, Susan Africa, Juan Rodrigo, Angelika de la Cruz, Wowie de Guzman, Paolo Contis, and Christopher Roxas.
