'Kilig' stories most liked: Top 10 most popular YouTube ads in PH so far this year

<p>MANILA - YouTube advertisements drawn from real-life experiences were among the most popular in the Philippines in the first six months of 2018.</p><p>The top 10 on the YouTube Ads Leaderboard from January to June 2018 were chosen based on how they &quot;resonated the most&quot; with the audience, Google Philippines said. </p><p>Romance or &quot;kilig&quot; was the most popular theme for the leading ads,  with Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion&#x27;s on-screen reunion for McDonald&#x27;s Philippines topping the list with over 4 million views.</p><p>&quot;I think it comes from the fact that the story is authentic... it makes you see the power of this tandem,&quot; Cholo Perreras, marketing manager for McDonald’s Philippines, told ABS-CBN News. </p><div><strong>No. 1: &quot;Kamusta Ka?&quot; by McDonald&#x27;s Philippines</strong></div><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_sPqIXqzJNg?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>Jollibee&#x27;s ads were also anchored on real-life experiences such as &quot;Signs,&quot; a story of a teenage girl looking for love, which placed second.  </p><p>&quot;We followed the principle which is anchoring on powerful truths...it could be your sister, it could be your friend, it could be you.
