Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday drew attention to the condition of Delibios, who was critically wounded in a deadly explosion in Davao City. In a Facebook post, Robredo said Delibios, the son of an overseas Filipino worker, was still unconscious and attached to a life support system when she visited him on Sunday. &quot;His older sister was the one keeping watch over him. We found her vigorously fanning him to keep the noon heat off because power was out when we visited and the generator was just enough for the basic hospital machines,&quot; Robredo narrated. With their mother working abroad, Delibios and his sister had to live with their grandparents, Robredo said. When their parents contracted tuberculosis, Delibios dropped his studies and worked as a tricycle driver to help support their medical expenses. His sister, meanwhile, worked as a cashier at a local grocery.Robredo said Delibios sustained shrapnel wounds on his head and may stay at the hospital for a longer time. Only his sister is available to keep watch over him but she afraid of losing her job if her absences persist, Robredo said. &quot;Their mother tried asking for an emergency leave from her employer, but the request was denied. Hence, she is unable to go home,&quot; the Vice President added. At least 55 people injured in last Friday&#x27;s blast in Davao City remained in hospitals around the city on Monday, Department of Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial said. Robredo and President Duterte have visited the victims separately, promising that government would foot their medical bill, funerary expenses and other needs. Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has offered P2 million for the capture of several persons of interest tagged in the <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/09/04/16/sara-duterte-offers-p2-m-reward-for-davao-blast-culprits">bomb attack</a>.
