WATCH: 'Lawin' blows out of PH landmass

<p>Latest imagery from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows how Typhoon Lawin (international name: Haima) has already left the Philippine landmass Thursday afternoon.</p><p>Latest Himawari-8 Imagery courtesy of the Japanese Meteorological Agency showed the typhoon moving out of the northern Philippines after devastating parts of Luzon.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://media.giphy.com/media/l0HlLjAge7XKKJsvm/source.gif"/></figure></div><p>In an 11 a.m. briefing, weather bureau PAGASA said Lawin was now packing top sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph), down from 225 kph late Wednesday, and gusts of 185 kph from a previous 315 kph.</p><p>Storm signals have mostly been lowered, with only signal number 2 still up in Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Ilocos Sur and Calayan Group of Islands.</p><p>Signal 1 meanwhile was hoisted over Batanes Group of Islands, Cagayan, Kalinga, Isabela, Quirino, Northern Aurora, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan and Northern Zambales.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://media.giphy.com/media/3o6Zt9FxcV68opmJig/source.gif"/></figure></div><p>The typhoon was last spotted 130 kilometers northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.</p><p>Lawin, the strongest typhoon to ravage the country this year, forced thousands of residents to evacuate, flattened entire buildings, and brought down trees and power lines.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe src="https://embed.windytv.com/?17.979,120.410,6,2016-10-20-03,message,metric.wind.km/h" width="750" height="700" frameBorder="0"></iframe></figure><p>Visit the<strong> <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/weather">ABS-CBN Weather Center</a> for the latest weather updates</strong>.</p>
