Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford, a hosting tandem for almost a decade, are known for their humorous exchange on TV. And when their punchlines combine with Vice Ganda’s wit, everyone can expect triple hilarity. That’s what happened in an episode of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/ggv" target="_blank">Gandang Gabi Vice</a> wherein the besties talked about their impression of each other. Billy used the word “intimidating” to describe how he saw Luis. It’s not about Luis’ family background but because of his aura that’s full of “yabang.” Billy said, “Si Luis, intimidating ‘yan. Dati, obese ‘yan tapos ‘yung salamin niya ang kapal. Tapos biglang lumaki ‘yung katawan, gumanda. ‘Yun ang basehan ko. Sabi ko, ‘Maangas ‘to.’”But, the ‘conceited’ Luis, as we all know is just part of his comedic style. Billy added, “Pero si Luis ang unang taong pwedeng maging mayabang. May permiso. ‘Yung pagkayabang niya, in a good way, nakakatawa.” Vice agreed, saying, “Sinasadya niya. Pambwisit at patawang yabang.”Luis then clarified what he thinks is the difference between a true arrogant man and one who uses vanity for comedy. “Ang mayabang, pinagmamalaki sa buong mundo kung ano’ng meron. Ang mahangin, pinagmamalaki ang wala. So, ako nasa mahangin lang. Salita ako nang salita tungkol sa kagwapuhan, alam ko namang hindi, pero para magpatawa lang ng mga tao.” There are some people, though, who don’t get his humor and perceive him as arrogant. Luis went on to share his first impression of Billy. He knew who Billy was. We all do. But the moment Billy transferred to ABS-CBN, Luis said he was threatened. Again, he’s just being funny about it. “Si Billy, nung nasa ABS-CBN na siya, siyempre kilala natin si Billy Crawford as international artist, na-intimidate ako bilang performer. Sa 11 years ko sa showbiz, nakilala ako sa pagpe-perform.”“So ngayon naintindihan n’yo na ‘yung sinasabi kong pagkamayabang?” Billy butted in.Despite Luis’ kind of humor, Billy and Vice never felt offended and annoyed. Vice even described him as one of the most pleasant people he knew, “Maaliwalas tapos genuine.”There’s one thing Billy hates about his friend, though. “’Yung kunwari hahalik siya sa batok tapos mararamdaman ko na hindi pa siya nashe-shave,” shared Billy. Then, Luis demonstrated it to Vice.
