GGV Throwback: John Prats shares how he planned his proposal to Isabel Oli

John Prats’ flash mob proposal to Isabel Oli back in 2014 has gone down in history as one of the most ‘kilig’ and grandest celebrity proposals.

It looked like a scene from a romantic movie, with a crowd cheering them on. As seen in their proposal video, John and Isabel were walking around a shopping center when the dancers emerged from the crowd, then John joined in the flash mob.

In their guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice, Isabel said she had zero inkling that a big scene was about to happen, “Ang alam ko, birthday ng Mommy niya. I really thought pupunta kami sa birthday dinner.”

John said he managed to make Isabel expect a quiet and private proposal than a grand one, “Kinondisyon ko siya, Early this year, sinasabi ko sa kanya na if ever magpo-propose ako sa kanya, gusto ko sobrang private lang, kaming dalawa lang. Kinondisyon ko siya na gan’un, so never siya magkakaroon ng idea na ganito pala ‘yung plano ko.”

Asked what made him decide to pop the question, John had a very romantic answer, “Siguro dahil feeling ko the search is over. Okay na ako, talagang n’ung nakilala ko siya, sabi ko, ito na ‘yun. Baka ‘pag nakawala, ayaw ko nang i-risk pa talaga ‘yung mga heartbreak.”
