How do you know when you’re in love? For Kim Chiu, it’s when she couldn’t stop laughing at someone’s super “waley” or corny jokes. It was 2014. Kim and Xian Lim were keeping everyone guessing on their real score. In an episode of late-night comedy talk show <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/ggv" target="_blank">Gandang Gabi Vice</a>, host Vice Ganda asked Kim the qualities or talents she likes about Xian. She said she’s the only person who laughs at his jokes no matter how “waley” they are. “Baka bet mo kasi? Eh, ‘di ba pag bet mo, kahit super waley natatawa ka?” Vice prodded. But Kim would only smile. Years later, Kim and Xian would reveal that they have been dating since 2012, which confirms Vice’s assumption that Kim was already in love with Xian at the time of this GGV guesting.Veering away from further interrogation, Kim introduced Xian’s other special talent. She said the actor has a special friend, Jun-Jun, a puppet. After an exchange of banter, Kim and Vice watched Xian entertain the audience with his talent in… ventriloquism!
