MANILA – Majority of voters said they would probably vote for a candidate who will advocate the continuation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey revealed.A February 2016 non-commissioned SWS survey found 80% of Filipino voters saying they would probably vote for a candidate who will advocate the continuation of the 4Ps, 9 percent saying they would probably not, and 12 percent saying they will not be affected.SWS said the number of respondents saying they would vote for a candidate who is a 4Ps advocate remained unchanged from the September 2015 and January 2016 surveys.Meanwhile, following the 4Ps as the second most supported advocacy is the full implementation of the Reproductive Health Law. The SWS survey found 66 percent saying they would probably vote for the candidate who will push for the law&#x27;s full implementation, 19 percent saying they would probably not, and 16 percent will not be affected.The third most supported advocacy is the enactment into law of the Freedom of Information (FOI) bill, with 62 percent saying they would vote for someone who supports the proposed measure, 17 percent would probably not, and 21 percent will not be affected.Sixty (60) percent would probably vote for a candidate who will promise the continuation of the principle of &#x27;&#x27;Daang Matuwid&#x27;&#x27;, 18 percent would probably not, and 22% will not be affected.Fifty-nine (59) percent would probably vote for a candidate who will advocate the reimposition of death penalty for heinous crimes, 29% would probably not, and 12% will not be affected.Forty-seven (47) percent said they would probably vote for a candidate who advocates the rights of LGBTs (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders), 31 percent would probably not, 21 percent will not be affected.Forty-seven (47) percent said they would probably vote for a candidate who will push for a law against political dynasty, 30 percent would probably not, and 23% will not be affected.Thirty-four (34) percent would probably vote for a candidate who will push for law allowing divorce for couples who have already separated and cannot reconcile, 45 percent would probably not, and 21 percent will not be affected.Thirty-one (31) percent would probably vote for a candidate who will advocate the enactment of the Bangsamoro Basic Law, 38% percent would probably not, and 31% will not be affected.Nineteen (19) percent would probably vote for a candidate who will advocate the passage of a law that would allow foreign investors to buy lands in the Philippines. A majority 63% would probably not, and 18% will not be affected.<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2016/nation/pr20160305_vis01.jpg"/></figure></div>The SWS survey was conducted from February 5-7, 2016 using face-to-face interviews of 1,200 validated voters, 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.The survey had sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages, ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.The area estimates were weighted by the 2016 Commission on Elections data on registered voters to obtain the national estimates, SWS said.
