Salvador S. Panelo, to request documents from the Bank of Philippine Islands (BPI) to answer allegations on his alleged hidden wealth.</p><p>Duterte did not appear at the BPI Julia Vargas Branch in Pasig City on Monday but his lawyer Panelo and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV<br/>showed up at bank to settle the lawmaker&#x27;s allegations of hidden wealth against the mayor.</p><p>In his SPA, Duterte requested BPI to issue certificates for his current balance, as well as to certify that &quot;at no time since the opening of the aforesaid Bank Account was there a deposit either singly or collectively of Two Hundred Eleven Million Pesos (211,000,000.00).&quot;</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2016/nation2/05/02/duterte1-050216.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s special power of attorney</div></figcaption></figure></div><p>The SPA, however, does not specifically request for full and detailed transaction records, which Trillanes and Duterte&#x27;s rivals have been asking that the mayor discloses.</p><p>Trillanes earlier accused the mayor of having over P200 million in deposits in his BPI account in 2014.</p><p>In an interview with ANC&#x27;s Dateline Philippines, the senator said he gave Panelo an affidavit identifying his source as a certain &quot;Joseph de Mesa,&quot; an alleged concerned citizen who is a former supporter of Duterte.</p><p>This is after Duterte challenged him to sign an affidavit revealing his source on allegations that the mayor had over P200 million in deposits in his BPI account in 2014 -- a claim that Duterte has denied.</p><div><strong><a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/halalan2016/nation/04/28/16/timeline-duterte-camp-denies-admits-bpi-account">TIMELINE: Duterte camp denies, admits BPI account</a></strong></div><p>Panelo said the BPI branch told him that Duterte did not have P211 million in his bank account.</p><p>However, he said the bank has asked for four to seven days to decide whether to issue an official certification.
