Administration presidential candidate Manuel "Mar" Roxas II said on Sunday that if elected, he would end contractualization of labor in three months.

Roxas said he would fix legal "loopholes" that allowed companies to end their employees contracts before their status is elevated to "regular" after a six-month probation.

"Maghahain tayo sa Kongreso, sasarhan natin itong mga loopholes na ito para magkaroon ng saysay ang mga kautusang ito," he said.

Roxas said he would work to bring down electricity rates to attract investments in manufacturing that would create jobs.

Companies practice contractualization or "endo" to avoid giving employees benefits due to regular staff such as vacation and sick leaves, social security and health insurance.
