MANILA (UPDATE) - Vice-presidential candidate Alan Peter Cayetano, running mate of Davao City Mayor and presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte, has conceded, saying administration bet Leni Robredo won the vice-presidential race. In a statement, Cayetano said with 96% of the votes already tallied in the Commission on Elections&#x27; transparency server, Robredo can already be considered the Philippines&#x27; presumptive vice-president.&#x27;&#x27;Rep. Leni is not only leading the race, she has clearly won it,&#x27;&#x27; Cayetano said.Cayetano said with the elections now over, the country must now unite under presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte.&#x27;&#x27;While losing an election hurts, nothing is more painful than the sight of a divided country. Thus, I call on all the other candidates to respect the people&#x27;s will and rally behind presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte and his presumptive Vice President-elect Leni Robredo,&#x27;&#x27; he said.&#x27;&#x27;Let us begin the journey toward healing and unification.&quot;He also said he hopes Robredo would fully support Duterte.&#x27;&#x27;I am confident that Vice President-elect Leni will likewise respect and value the people&#x27;s will by giving her full support to the country&#x27;s new President and his vision to end the disorder in the people&#x27;s lives and introduce real change to our country,&#x27;&#x27; he added.Robredo, in response, said: &quot;Nagpapasalamat tayo sa pahayag ni Senador Alan Peter Cayetano ukol sa resulta ng eleksyon.&quot;As of 11:44 a.m. Thursday, Robredo was leading her closest rival, Sen. Ferdinand &quot;Bongbong&quot; Marcos Jr, by 212,429 votes. The partial and unofficial count represents 95.75% of the votes.Marcos has cast doubt over the credibility of the unofficial count, noting that his lead over Robredo on the first day of counting eroded when a script was &quot;introduced&quot; to the transparency server.Marcos&#x27; camp suspects the introduction of the script may have affected the count.<div><a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/halalan2016/nation/05/11/16/marcos-camp-alleges-new-script-in-transparency-server" target="_blank">READ: Marcos camp alleges new &#x27;script&#x27; in transparency server</a></div>For his part, Comelec chairperson Andres Bautista confirmed that Smartmatic official Marlon Garcia had to alter a script in the transparency server to correct the name of a candidate.Bautista said Garcia had to change the character &quot;?&quot; to an &quot;ñ&quot; in one of the entries. He said the change in the script is &quot;innocuous&quot; and will not affect the results in the transparency server.
