Magpasikat 2022: Team Anne-Jackie-Ion touches hearts with bedtime story-inspired performance

<p>Since it is her first Magpasikat after taking a break and becoming a mom, not to mention that it coincides with her Mama Carmen’s birthday celebration, Anne Curtis really made sure that her comeback would be remarkably fantastic. Anne, along with Jackie Gonzaga and Ion Perez, delivered a truly heartwarming performance that pays tribute to all moms and their ever-shining love, for the opening salvo of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a><u>’s</u> “TRESElebrate” fete on Monday, November 14.</p><p>Just on the montage that they had shown at the beginning of their number, we arguably already had an inkling that it’s going to be about the bond between a mother and child, as they featured snaps and clips of celebrity and ordinary moms with their babies, including her candid moments with her daughter Baby Dahlia. <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/maalaalamokaya"><em><strong><u>Maalaala Mo Kaya</u></strong></em></a> host Charo Santos also had a special and significant participation through her mellifluous voiceover.</p><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hwtwDrjXbFw" title="Team Anne-Jackie-Ion made a book with their Magpasikat 2022 performance | It" s="" width="853"></iframe></div><p>The live presentation started off with Anne singing to a lullaby version of Coldplay’s “A Sky Full Of Stars” to an adorable girl lying on the comfy bed, who was later on revealed as Queenzy Calma, the little sister of <em>MiniMe Season 1</em> grand winner Nhikzy Calma. As she began looking for her, Anne was only able to retrieve the glowing star that she gave to her as a gift, with what seemed to be a cover of a book with “Ang Nanay Ko Ay Dyosa” emblazoned on it appeared on the LED screen.</p><p>In pursuit of finding her daughter, Anne brought us along to her whimsical adventures, in which she met creatures who helped her search for her. Her first stop was in Planet Neona guarded by Jackie, who mesmerized us with her breathtaking aerial silk dance while cladded in a multicolor neon body suit and flower crown that symbolizes a butterfly. Ion appeared fierce in his all-black ensemble and inked bod as Libelo.</p><div><img alt="It" s="" src="https://aa1a-dctp-s3-entertainment.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/updates/itsshowtime/2022/11/15/magpasikat-2022-team-anne-jackie-ion-5.jpg"/></div><div><img alt="It" s="" src="https://aa1a-dctp-s3-entertainment.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/updates/itsshowtime/2022/11/15/magpasikat-2022-team-anne-jackie-ion-6.jpg"/></div><p>Since it’s her comeback, Anne, of course, didn’t let their spectacle simply end without her performing <em>buwis-buhay</em> routines, which has been her mark in the past 13 years of Magpasikat. Now cladded in a “Dyosa gown,” Anne made the whole room shimmer when she raised the star and finally found her daughter, who was so over the moon (literally and figuratively) upon seeing her.</p><div><img alt="It" s="" src="https://aa1a-dctp-s3-entertainment.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/updates/itsshowtime/2022/11/15/magpasikat-2022-team-anne-jackie-ion-9.jpg"/></div><div><img alt="It" s="" src="https://aa1a-dctp-s3-entertainment.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/updates/itsshowtime/2022/11/15/magpasikat-2022-team-anne-jackie-ion-10.jpg"/></div><p>This ensued to their heartwarming and tear-jerking reunion, with Anne crying as she once again sang “A Sky Full Of Stars.” Ion, Jackie, and the other dancers went back onstage and danced along with them. It ended with the voice over reiterating Charo’s opening spiel, <em>“Dahil ang totoong ilaw ng anak ay ang kanyang ina. This number also inspired them to write and publish story book titled “<em>Ang Nanay Ko Ay Diyosa,</em>” which physical copies were distributed to the <em>hurados</em>, making their number extra special.</p><p>It seems that a lot of #TeamBahay madlang people have been anticipating Anne’s Magpasikat comeback and the first day of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><em><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></em></a> 13<sup>th</sup> anniversary celebration as the hashtag #Magpasikat2022AnneJackieIon skyrocketed to the number one spot of the top Philippine trending topics on Twitter. </p><p>“TRESElebrate” marks the return of the traditional week-long <strong>It’s Showtime</strong> celebration, two years after it was only held for a day due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The <em>hurados </em>for Magpasikat 2022 are John Arcilla, Baron Geisler, Pia Magalona, Janice de Belen, Darren Espanto, and ABS-CBN Foundation Head and Executive Director and G Diaries host Ernie Lopez as the <em>punong hurdo</em>.</p><p>The next groups to perform are Team Jhong-Ryan for Tuesday, Team Jugs-Teddy-Kim for Wednesday, Team Vice-Amy for Thursday, and Team Karylle-Ogie for Friday. Whichever team wins this year’s competition will have a chance to donate Php 500,000 to their chosen charity.</p>
